I arrived Sunday morning and woke up to see this beautiful sight on Paseo de la Reforma. The sun was shining. People were out and about. It also happened to be one of two days of EcoFest, a green festival that showcased music, dance, demos, and vendors of green merchandise.

The final stop on our tour of Unidad Habitacional Nonoalco-Tlatelolco (the second largest housing development in the Americas) was this community garden. It sits on the site of a tower that collapsed during the 1985 earthquake. The earthquake is still a difficult topic for many of the residents, but this garden is a sign of community healing.
