the   light   orange   glow   of   the   alit   blunt   ,   passed   cheerfully   between   husband   &   wife   .   encompassed   between   index   and   middle   digit   ,   a   deep   toke   taken   as   he   peered   up   into   the   raven   sky   .   a   batting   of   cerulean   hues   ,   as   if   trying   to   make   sense   of   exactly   where   the   digit   in   question   had   pointed   .   ❝   huh   ,   where   are   we   lookin’   here   ?   ❞   the   heir   mused   ,   completely   aloof   for   a   moment   until   the   star   in   question   had   come   into   sight   .   studied   momentously   ,   as   if   he’d   a   clue   of   any   interstellar   constellations   in   the   slightest   .   ❝   tell   you   what   ,   they   got   these   uhhh   ,   apps   you   can   download   .   ❞   fluffy   cloud   of   smoke   exhaled   first   through   nostrils   ,   and   then   through   parted   brims   when   he   spoke   .   phone   equipped   in   his   offhand   ,   the   interstellar   discovery   app   in   question   downloaded   &   opened   .   ❝   you   put   the   camera   on   ,   n’point   it   up   at   the   stars   .   tells   you   everything   you   need   to   know   .   ❞   the   screen   dimmed   as   to   not   steal   away   the   otherwise   breathtaking   view   which   had   formed   above   them   .   much   to   his   surprise   ,   the   naked   star   shining   brightly   hadn’t   been   a   star   at   all   .   ❝   yo   ,   that’s   dope   as   fuck   .   ❞   rather   ,   it’d   been   the   largest   planet   in   their   solar   system   .   the   gas   giant   of   all   gas   giants   .   ❝   that’s   not   even   a   star   ,   that’s   a   whole   ass   planet—   it’s   jupiter   .   ❞   the   blunt   passed   back   to   the   heiress   ,   his   timbre   brimming   with   amusement   and   something   that   borderline   joy   .   ❝   that’s   fucking   dope   ,   right   ?   ❞

brow   quirks   upward   with   a   curious   air   ,   earthen   hues   eyeing   the   phone   screen   over   the   shoulder   of   her   love   as   he   navigates   through   downloading   the   app   .   allotted   time   never   personally   found   for   learning   beyond   the   basics   of   the   cosmos   ,   interests   never   truly   aligned   with   the   order   &   function   of   the   universe   .   but   to   see   such   fascination   light   the   visage   of   her   soulmate   spills   a   warmth   within   her   chest   ,   born   of   highest   endearment   &   blooming   curiosity   .   nearly   jumps   at   his   reaction   ,   reassured   giggle   lilting   into   the   night   sky   as   the   outburst   registers   as   excitement   .   ❝  who   knew   you   were   a   secret   space   nerd   ?   ❞   ribs   affectionately   ,   blunt   accepted   gracefully   &   set   betwixt   plush   brims   as   she   reads   the   offered   information   on   the   planet   .   ❝  no   surface   .   .   .   biggest   planet   .   .   .   a   day   lasts   under   ten   hours   there   ?   how   do   the   spooky   gas   aliens   get   anything   done   ?   ❞   verbiage   muffled   around   the   twisted   leaf   ,   punctuated   with   a   long   drag   .   free   index   &   thumb   outstretched   to   guide   stubbled   maw   ,   takes   advantage   of   a   small   silence   in   which   to   dispense   a   slow   ,   flirty   shotgun   –   before   kittenishly   pushing   the   near   cheek   away   &   returning   attention   to   the   matter   at   hand   .   ❝  you   know   .   .   .   i   feel   like   i   heard   sydney   saying   something   about   space   the   other   day   ?   i   didn't   really   catch   the   conversation   ,   but   maybe   you   two   could   bond   over   this   or   something   .   ❞
