Anakin could tell something was wrong. He should be in a delivery room witnessing his child being born. Or it should be years later as he saw his son or daughter running around. But the world was twisted. Obi Wan was a distant figure and he felt like his lungs were on fire.
Anakin opened his eyes and saw the jedi temple on fire. Strewn bodies of children and jedi knights all around him. He looked down a hall and saw Ahsoka fighting a cloaked figure. Anakin needed to protect her.
“Ahsoka!” He yelled.
But she didn’t turn to face him. Before he could reach her, the figure grabbed her wrist and stabbed her with its blue lightsaber.
“NO! Ahsoka!” Anakin screamed and caught her before she hit the ground. She was gasping and shaking from the pain. Dying in his arms.
“Stay with me, Snips. You’re gonna be okay. But you gotta stay with me.” He said shakily.
“Why?” She asked, not looking at him, but at the figure. Then with a shaky breath she went limp.
“No.. No.. Ahsoka…” Anakin whispered.
“This is your fault. You’re too attached. You can’t let things go.” The figure said. He almost recognized the voice.
Anakin looked at the figure with burning rage. His home, his apprentice, his family all dead. He then realized there was something left. His wife. The figure realized it too, and suddenly she was behind them.
YN. Dressed it that yellow floral dress he loved. She looked frightened but calm. The figure made movements to her, but Anakin was faster. Running quick and catching the figure in its back. Stabbing it with his own lightsaber. But the cloaked figure just disappeared and the world went dark.
But she was still there. A light in this nightmare.
“YN! YN are you there? I need you!” He called out.
“Anakin?” She asked confused.
“YN? Thank the maker! Thank goodness you’re here!” He went to grab her but his hands couldn’t reach.
“Okay, YN- YN you’re gonna save me, right? I found you and you’re- you’re gonna come get me” He said desperately.
“Anakin, what are you doing?” She asked. Distant and confused. “I’m dead. Our children are dead. I can’t save you.”
“You’re dead..” He realized finally.
“Right.”
“I didn’t save you.” He continued.
“Yea.”
“And then… I fell to the dark side. And lost you. Lost our child. Lost Ahsoka. Lost Obi wan. Lost … everything.” He said as he fell down to his knees.
“It’s too late.” She told him. “What’s done is done.”
“No..” He whispered.
“There’s nothing I can do, Anakin. I’m not real. None of this is.” She told him, kneeling down to look at him.
“So, what do I do now?” He asked.
She smiled sadly and took his hand and placed it on her swollen stomach. Then rested her hand on his cheek.
“Anakin.. it doesn’t matter.” YN said in a sort of reassuring way.
“Well if it doesn’t matter.. can I stay here with you at least?” He asked.
“Okay.” She smiled, and he looked around and saw they were in the Lake country in Naboo.
He smiled sadly and rested his forehead against hers. “How was your day?”
She paused for a moment and smiled. “Good. My day was good.”
He knew he would wake up soon. See the bacta tank fluid. Feel the pain his body was constantly in. But just for a moment he could forget. He would sit on the shore with his wife. And they would just enjoy each other’s presence.

Elsewhere
YN shot up from her bed. Another nightmare. Another one about Anakin. She looked to her right, there was Luke. Curled up and sleeping. She looked to her left, there was Leia. Sleeping with her hands cradling Lola.
They were safe. They were hidden. No one would find them.
Mark got more anxious and agitated. Gesturing wildly at the scene while looking back at Eve and Cecil with incredulous wide eyes.
“Why aren’t they playing with her? Or talking to her? Or even saying ‘What’s up?’ to her?” Mark said angrily.
“Mark-“
“No! It doesn’t make sense. She’s a great kid. She’s kind. Polite. She likes all the cool things kids like. And they’re just isolating her!” He went on.
“She’s probably just adjusting. She’s a shy kid. You have to let things play out.” Cecil said calmly.
“I should go over there as Invincible. Show those kids that Invincible is her friend. Then they’ll want to be her friend. That’ll show them.” Mark seemed determined to go over immediately.
“Don’t. That won’t help the situation. You can’t just bail her out as Invincible every time someone doesn’t want to be her friend. You wanted her to have a normal earth life. This is normal. Not every kid is gonna want to be her friend. That doesn’t mean something’s wrong. Just means she’s experiencing life differently.” Cecil told him.
“You don’t get it. You’re not a dad Cecil. I can’t just do nothing while my kid is being isolated.” Mark looked at her sadly.
“Mark. Inanna is a good kid. She’s gonna make friends on her own. But you have to let her. I promise things will get easier for her.” Eve said while placing a hand on Mark’s shoulder.
He looked at Eve then back down at the scene of Inanna just sitting on the bench looking down at her hands. Sighing when he realized they were right.
“If she doesn’t make friends after three weeks, I’m flying down and making them believe she’s Invincible’s friend.” He resolved.

Kurt x YN: They don’t really clash heads that often. He resolves things with words. But on the occasion they fight YN needs to take a break. She removes herself and sits somewhere where she can hear the call of nature. Basically cools off. She doesn’t want to snap at Kurt. One time he was proving a good point and to stop him from proving that point: She undid her blouse. After sex they didn’t remember what was wrong.
Remy + Rogue: Hot heads. They compliment each other so well they don’t really fight. But she’s always right. Gambit goes by one rule: “If you’re wrong admit it, if you’re right shut up.”
Jean + Scott: They fight. Sure, but it’s just something they go along with. Jean knows she’s right and Scott is so determined that they clash on occasion. But they usually resolve it within a week. Somethings though they just leave on the back burner and it festers.
Mystique + Destiny: They fight, they fuck, they get over it. Angry sex resolves most problems. How’s the divorce going? Well Raven just strangled a man and Irene is going on about how she’s never wrong.
Charles + Erik: They are too old to be clashing over petty things. They fight with words and their divorce is EVERYONE’S problem. But they’d rather be caught dead than admit the other is right.
Aegon ii + Laenora: They rarely fight. Usually she just tells him what to do and he does it. One time they got into an argument because she told him if the hypothetical situation where he turns into a sparrow and she’s left with just their child… she would eventually move on. Like she’d still love him but not romantically.
Maegor ii + Rhaenys: Another one where they don’t usually fight. Mostly because he’s usually right and she can’t stand that he’s so moral that he’s never yell at her. He’d present his argument then tell her why he thinks she’s wrong. Nowadays if they fight she just gets undressed so he can’t resist sleeping with her. Mostly petty spats on her end cause she’s having a difficult pregnancy.
Visenya ii + Edric: They fight over the dumbest things. She never backs down and he never backs down so it’s a competition to see who acquiesces. When she knows she’s wrong she’ll bring up his annoying habits. The dumbest thing they argued about was she dreamed he had a mistress and she punched him while he slept.
Malor + Rose: He tries really hard to make himself altruistic but he’s so petty. And she’s so petty. One time he was fighting with her about how many kids they’d have and she brought up how he bullied her when they first met.
YN + Maegor: At first when he yelled at her she cowered into herself and just accepted the yelling. Then she got brave after one day and gray rocked him. He became so frustrated that she wasn’t giving him a reaction that he stormed off.
YN + Addam: They don’t really fight, they’re too mature now. But they do have little disagreements. But they always fight with love.

The flashback shows angry mob storming over to the castle. Destiny sends Mystique to flee into the forest with the baby. Mystique leaves baby Kurt at the tree and rushes back to the castle as she worries over Destiny's safety. However, by the time she got there, Destiny is gone in the bedroom along with baby Kurt in the forest. (Though little did Mystique know that baby Kurt may have been taken away by Margali Szardos the sorceress who acted as a psychic of the carnival.) The disappearance of baby Kurt left Mystique screaming in agony. Back to the present, Kurt Wagner tries to comfort Mystique but she dismisses him as she had not finished her story yet. Mystique recounts that since the disappearance of the baby, she blamed Destiny for the misfortune. Destiny persuades her that even though their baby is lost, they could try to adopt another child to make up for their loss. Thus, Mystique and Destiny had adopted little Anna Marie (a.k.a Rogue). Destiny also told Mystique about her vision that Azazel might become a powerful enemy but only their son might be destined to defeat him. Mystique doesn't believe her wife and tries to strangle her for bringing up the topic of their missing son.
Then, Mystique and Destiny consulted with Professor Charles Xavier about their problems. In order to prevent Mystique from hurting/killing her wife, Charles Xavier alters the minds of Mystique and Destiny with their permission so that Mystique could forget about the missing child. Back to the present, Mystique is horrified when she realizes her mind compensated for the holes in her memories after Xavier altered them by leaving her to believe she abandoned Kurt as a baby to save her own skin, which led to her spending years resenting him when the truth is she loved him dearly and didn't want to give him up. Upon learning the truth, Kurt Wagner realizes that his mother still loved him despite all the misgivings so he comforts her with a hug.

In the present, Raven sits on the ground in the park.

In the flashback, Irene reaches out to hold Raven's face.
Mystique, via narration: But never a child conceived in love.
Raven: You... you want us to...?
Irene: Yes.
