“HOW DO I GET STARTED WITH MY GOSHDANG PROJECT?!?!”
i get this question all the time. here are some tips
✨ commit yourself to working at least ten minutes a day.
now you might say, “adrienne that’s not a lot of minutes”, and you would be right. but it’s not about working only ten minutes. it’s about actually getting yourself started.
starting to work is hard. who wants to work on anything?? so give yourself a small goal. ten minutes. that’s easy. and then, most of the time, you’ll find out that you do want to keep working longer than ten minutes…!!! and so you work for longer. and you are doing it. and you’re happy.
and some days, you might really just work ten minutes. and that’s great, because you’re ten minutes farther than you were before
✨ give yourself constraints.
sometimes your idea or project might seem really big. there’s so different ways this could go! the vastness is scary!!! what should you do?!?!
and the answer is to give yourself some constraints. some rules to follow. maybe a run of your game can only be 5 minutes long. maybe you can only make sound effects with paper and nothing else. or maybe. your game can only be in black and white
and from those constraints, 1: you’ll feel like you have a path to follow, and 2: your project might??? usually be cooler??? because you’re trying something new!!! you’re doing something weird!!! you gave yourself a weird challenger or theme, and you’re building on top of it!!! maybe the whole world in your game sees in black and white. what does that mean about your world. wow
✨ show your friends
working on something in your corner might be fun. but sometimes it’s a bummer. and you might need some feedback, or at least some compliments…!!! then show it to your friends. there’s nothing better than getting excited about you and your friends’ projects
✨ never give up. unless you want to
take breaks
✨ get those references and good tutorials

I don't think adult humans get enough cuddles and I am so serious.
You look at almost any other species of mammal and they give each other physical affection all the time, but for some reason we've decided that physical affection when you're an adult should be exclusively romantic and to want frequent physical affection from your friends or family is strange or sus or a sign you actually view them romantically, and this can't be good for us I don't think.

A Pokemon only counts for itself, not its evolution line.
A Pokemon with multiple forms (like Zygarde) will only be counted for the specified form. A Pokemon with multiple appearances (like Spinda, Vivillon, Sylvally, etc.) count for all their appearances.
I'm literally doing this as a testament to my own depression that not everyone is lovable, so add that to the weight of this post's meaning.

do we as a community just not talk about meta knight's ego problem? or do i not see it when we do?
he has a battleship with his mask on it. his elite squadron of highly trained soldiers is named the meta knights. he seeks to become the strongest warrior in the galaxy. he has a sweet tooth but hides it from the others to keep up his cool and mysterious facade.
we need to talk about this more, it adds depth to his character. without it he's just a mysterious swordsman, and that's fine, but not really interesting. some of my favourite characters are highly flawed individuals that, while not being the best people, still face their inner demons (literally on occasion) and fight for what they believe in. i'm sure you like at least one character that does something similar, because, even in real life, our flaws make us more interesting people.
