Something that doesnât sit right with me about the âHarry shouldâve become the DADA professor after the war!â energy
I agree with it, but I donât think heâd become the professor right away. I think it makes sense for him to become an auror. His hero complex wouldnât go away after the war, heâd still feel the need to go after any dark wizards and Voldy supporters still lingering around. Harry would still feel that burden on his shoulders. So of course heâd become an auror.
And I think heâd continue that into becoming a ministry worker. Years later when heâs had kids and auror work has settled down, I think heâd just fall into ministry work, and eventually the Head of Magical Law Enforcement. In some ways he thinks itâs the best spot for him, to still keep an eye on dark magic and continue his hero complex that he would still feel on his shoulders. Harry would feel like itâs his best possible place to be. I donât think heâd realize how much heâd do well as a professor. He had to be convinced over and over again in OOTP to even start teaching others.
Just because we realize Harry WOULD make a great DADA professor doesnât mean he realizes that.
