CHASING YOUR PRETTY THOUGHTS

luna was born in springhill, and hasn’t lived anywhere else. daughter of a local, and a swedish fisherman. however, luna’s mother only stuck around for a few days after she was born. 

it broke her fathers heart, who was running out of money and had to return home. infant luna was left with her maternal aunt for the first five years of her life, seeing her father on the occasions he was able to come back to the country as he spent most of his life at sea. 

she was always a quiet child, sweet and kind to those around her, kept to her small group of friends, books, and adventures into wildlife. introverted, walking around town luna would often hide behind her aunts long skirts when meeting people she didn’t know. 

luna could also be found on harbour fronts near the fishing boats listening to music from a CD Walkman Player. luna’s father would bring her pretty clothes as gifts when he came back to springhill, and the young girl would watch her aunt create her own garments. 

she’d play around with fabric offcuts, and eventually learn how to use a sewing machine. slowly, she begun to realise the gift for creativity luna held, and was able to make her first garment at the age of 11. she’d received news from sweden that contact with her fathers boat had been lost, and he was presumed dead. she was devastated. 

by the age of 18, luna began to be more social. less nervous, and more extroverted. she decides upon graduation to commute between home and university to study branded fashion. upon graduation, she received a grant to grow a business. and so began månsken. luna’s name in english means moon, and her father would call her ‘moonshine’ as a child. she decided to use that name, but in his native tongue. 

she recently used all her savings to rent a small shop in town, with a studio in the back and retail section in the front.

luna is known to be sweet, hating confrontation and  is happy within her own company. but with the select few she trusts, she can come out of her shell. 

speaking of which, luna has trust issues up to her ears. dating and making risky connections gives her anxiety and she’s often been the one to bolt out of a relationship. 

WANTED CONNECTIONS: 

childhood friends: basically the people that also grew up with luna in the town.  they could have been close, or just someone who knew her as the quirky girl that didn’t talk much that dyed her hair platinum blonde in highschool. 

new friends: bring my bby friends. exes: pretty self explanatory. 

opposites attract: someone whos opposite in personality or lifestyle that flirts with luna, brings out a bit more of luna’s brazen side with the banter. maybe comes to the store? 

employees: someone that works the retail front of luna’s store, månsken.
