how to improve your game (better graphics, less lag).

in this list i will share my tips that can help you to improve your game and i really recommend it. credits to all the cc creators.

Clean your pc:

1. Delete all the scratch & temp. Delete uninstalled and unused app folders. Update your drivers. Always do disk cleanup.

2. Delete the "eletronic arts" caches: cachestr, cache, resource.package, onlinethumbnailcache, avatarcache, localthumbcache, lastexception. optional: musics, clientDB, scratch (always before open the game).

3. Don't keep files in your tray folder (only a few that are necessary for you).

Organize your game:

4. Move your photos out of the electronic arts folder (keep it on pendrive, one drive or other).

5. Create few folders (with categories) inside the Mod folder (I recommend not adding any folders inside these).

6. Remove or update old mods. Don't keep duplicate or conflicting mods (you can use Sims4 Mod Manager).

7. Use Sims4Studio to merge the cc's from each creator or category (as you prefer).

8. Important: organize the names of your mods, no just the folders (I think there is an app for this).

Configurations:

9. In power options, select high performance. Put the game in administrator mode. When starting the game, open the task manager and set priority to "High".

10. Keep configuring the game graphics until you notice a difference in the speed. Put the audios in the middle. Uncheck unnecessary things for you, example: "connect automatically".

11. Keep as few favorites in the gallery as possible, this way it will open faster and become lighter. (When I already placed something I saved, I unmark).

There are 30 options you can choose from. Put ONLY ONE Option of More Traits Mod you want in your Mod folder.

📃 Changelog Mar 18, 2023: IMPORTANT UPDATE

Updated all chingyu_MoreTraitsMod_Options for patch 1.96

After the mod update for patch 1.96, Sims starting from Child Age get extra three traits. Randomly generated NPC Sims won't get auto-assigned with extra three traits. For example, with option 1, randomly generated Teen only gets 4 traits, not 7. This is an improvement for game performance which is now less likely to overload your game. You can still manually add three more traits to them.

After the mod update for patch 1.96, you can add extra 3 traits to Cats and Dogs in gameplay mode with any options and my AddTraitsMenu. Randomly generated NPC pets/strays won't get auto-assigned the extra 3 traits or human traits. You can still manually add 3 more traits to them.

DisallowHumanTraitsForPets is no longer needed after the mod update for patch 1.96. Remove the packages with names !chingyu_D_ from your Mod folder.

No update is required for the Long-Lived Traits & Add Traits Menu

And yes, extra traits for infants! (see Guide on Using This Mod & What are the Options)

HAZY DAYS AND BLUEBERRYADE – a ReShade preset by amoebae

I caved under pressure and bring you the ReShade preset I’ve been using for a while now. This will not enhance your gameplay. This has been created for screenshots.

98% of you will not like it.

Of the 2% who do, 96% of you will hate the fog effect.

Of the remaining whateverpercent, 87% of you will be annoyed with the work it takes to use.

103% of you will think I’m a terrible person.

I make no apologies for its awkwardness – I created this in conjunction with my high tolerance for Doing What It Takes To Get The Shot.

I will provide what support I can, but because of the preset’s hands-on approach I recommend at least a cursory understanding of ReShade (preferably version 3.0) to avoid frustration. Any general ReShade questions I can’t answer can be researched over at the ReShade forum. Please check my ReShade FAQ tag because it’s incredibly likely I’ve answered your question before (unless directly related to HDaB effects).
