Auntie Laura's #Raw Cocoa-nut pie. No added processed sugar, gluten free. Please use organic ingredients. ❤️ Crust. 1.5 cups almonds 1.5 tblspn. Honey 1.5 tblspn. Coconut oil 1/2 tspn. Vanilla 1/2 tspn pink Himalayan sea salt Blend all ingredients in #vitamix or comparable mixer. Pour into pie pan. Using your fist work from center towards outside of pan to form crust. Filling 1.5 cups pecans 1/2 cup pure cacao powder 1/3 cup raw honey 1/2 cup coconut oil 1/2 tsp pink Himalayan sea salt Blend all in vitamix or comparable mixer. Pour onto crust and let filling settle. (1 minute) Place nuts at outer edge of pie to decorate. Place in fridge for one hour and serve. Lasts one week. I have a piece every night! Such an amazing alternative to sweets that are not good for you or your tummy. Tastes like fudge! I'm thinking of adding raspberries to the top of the pie next time. Alright, Big happy news! FREE KITTTTTTIES! 😻 Lula will be teaming up with the beautiful people @mixedmuttsrescue this Sunday from 11- 4 to help find these babies a home! They are all spayed/neutered and only 14 weeks old. ☺️ The deal is, if you take one (or 2) home, and save their little lives- Lula will pay the adoption fee for you! My buddy, Laura from @hayesurbanhorticulture be there helping! And thanks to my other buddy @tankchopbeenz for setting this up! I'm excited, I see them every Monday and I can't wait to help them find a home, it sure as shit won't be mine- zoo is at full capacity. Please help spread the word! Please if you could take a moment to read in its entirety. ❤️ Last night I had someone else mention that they heard I had a shop in Venice. This was my second this week, and sometimes as many as 3-4 per week confusing us with the store that opened under our name. I just wanted to take the time to apologize again to our customers and vendors. To our customers who have referred friends to our shop only to have them end up in Venice at a store that was not ours. To our new vendors who worked so hard to make items for our retail store, and then shipped to the wrong "Lula Mae" and had such difficulty getting their products back. I can assure you I tried so hard, and my family. I tried with a respectful phone call this year before their grand opening. I tried with a cease and desist asking that the name be changed from that of our operating name. It is illegal to open a business under the same name in the same county. The claim is that they spell their name LulaMae with an uppercase "M" but no space, so it is not the same. That's how the name was approved. I feel that the uppercase indicates a second word. And so does the space between the two that they have on their signage. So I understand all of your confusion, and I'm sure they do too. ❤️ Lula Mae is one of the biggest parts of my heart. I have been building her for 12 years. I will lose her if I continue to try to go after what is rightfully ours. I don't want the store, or my employees or customers to suffer from this. Again, I am truly sorry for the confusion that this has put us all through. But I will say this. There is only one, and will only ever be one "Lula Mae". So I encourage you all to go there and shop. ❤️ Support your local businesses. I wish the other "LulaMae" the best of luck and all the success in the world, and I'm happy that we could contribute to that success by making the name "Lula Mae" such a household name. So much so, that there is this much confusion. Sometimes letting things go is the only way to win. Again, my apologies to those this has affected. Thank you so much for all your support and love of my little Lula Mae. Please go and support theirs. 😊
