luke: the least of my concerns is your ability to tell time. you know whats more concerning??

delilah: i talk to a lot of guys luke, you're going to have to specific

luke: honestly I dont remember his name lmao

amelia: ok so don't make it

amelia: and bring me the frickin mcdonalds

amelia: hey do you know a dude named... christopher old... rich? olrich? something like that.

luke: has anyone ever told you that ......

luke: youre a pain in the ass?? its 2am

luke: I need a favor. might be urgent

luke: del... what the fuck is this thing I heard about you and some guy?

amelia: ok but i'm hungry

amelia: and some french fries sound SO GOOD RN.

luke: and mcdonalds is your answer??

amelia: hi so like

amelia: omg

amelia: lol omg what was i gonna say?

amelia: omg so like can u bring me some mcdonalds plz.

luke: what??? mcdonalds?? no

Running her tongue along her top row of teeth, Amelia inhaled deeply before exhaling slowly as she looked Lucas in his eyes with a deadpan. She wasn’t truly sure what the hell issue the two of them had with one another, but there was a lot of push and pull between the two of them as if they were magnets of the same charge trying to connect. “California.” Her first word short to him as she looked at his open arms, letting out a breathy laugh as she rolled her eyes and shook her head. “Like… are you … out of your frickin’ mind? Did you like totally sustain a frickin’ head injury in the like… past year or something?” Truth be told, if she wasn’t playing this game of tug-of-war with him, she would have jumped in his arms before he’d even opened his mouth.

“California, that’s the place,” he nodded, adding a snap of his fingers when it all came back to him. There were very few people that Luke ever really kept up with and he wished that Amelia was one of those people. He didn’t do it on purpose, the girl was always doing a million things to even remember most of Frostford. “You know that’s not a very nice thing to say, cause up until now, everyone else in town had been nice enough to not bring up my head injury.” He stood there for a moment longer going along with it all, hoping she wouldn’t leave him hanging like he was some random stranger she didn’t know. “You really know how to hurt me Amelia.”

Aileen on the other hand had been picking out some produce for dinner and didn’t even recognize him initially. You know that feeling you get when someone’s been looking at you? Normally Aileen is quick with it, but with all the other things on her mind it was no surprise that Lucas had caught her by complete surprise and nearly caused her to drop the tomato that was in her hand. “Jesus, Luke..” Rolling her eyes, she let out a soft sigh and dropped the fruit into the clear bag and turned to look at him, elbow resting on her shopping cart. “Looks like our luck don’ ran out now dunnit?” Her tone sarcastic as she rolled her eyes and began looking for lettuce.

Her reaction made a smile spread on his lips for a moment, it was the way most people reacted and it made him wish he had a dollar for every time it happened. Not that he was in need of the money. “It had to run out sooner or later, but I think it’s about time it happened,” he shrugged reaching for lettuce as well when he took a step closer. “You’re looking great. Better as time has passed, definitely putting a lot of people around town to shame.” Picking up a head of lettuce, he took the one she was looking at replacing it with his, much better than the rest in the bunch. “How are things going for you lately? Tell me about the married life.”

Morgan looked up from where she was wiping down the counter, smiling out of instinct to greet the customer. “Hey, uhm yeah, soon actually. I’m off in ten.” She spoke, glancing at the clock and doing the math in her head. She nodded as Luke rambled on and gave up a little laugh. “Well if you’re gonna come in here and just brag about how you made somethin’ delicious, you better be willin’ to share with me.” She left the rag on the table and stepped to the sink washing her hands before reaching into the case and grabbing him a croissant like he asked. “How long did it take ya to make today?” She platted it and handed it to him. 

Luke would probably never admit it but coming into the bakery was one of his favorite things to do. One reason being that the place always smelled amazing and second being that he enjoyed the little competitive banter thing they had going. “You know I always have somethin’ to back up my bragging with, cause if it’s one thing I know I can do is blow your mind,” he smiled, reaching over to take the croissant, grabbing a piece popping it in his mouth. “It took me.. less time than last time. I can’t tell you the details cause then you’re gonna make fun of me but I’m ready to turn you into a full on believer in what I can do in the kitchen.” Sighing, he shook his head opting to take a bigger piece of the croissant this time. “These croissants are still better than mine. Any chance you’ll give up the recipe?”

“Looks like it’s that time of the year when things start getting really crazy around this town,” he smirked as he walked up to Amelia. It had been way too long since he had last seen her and truth be told, he didn’t expect she would come back to town. “What brings you back here? I thought you were gonna spend the rest of your life partying it up in California, or Florida. Hell I forgot where you’ve been getting yourself lost in.” He stood before her, opening his arms, “Come on, I know you’re dyin’ to give me a hug.” 

News traveled fast around Frostford and the news he received from one of the many gossip sources around town gave him feelings. He wasn’t sure what he was going to walk into when he got to the singles mixer but it didn’t matter, the only thing that mattered was asking what the hell was going through her mind. Then again they didn’t have the healthiest marriage. Walking into the barn at Magnolia Hill he scanned the room, walking with purpose in the direction of the woman he was looking for. “Hey, how are things going for you so far?” he asked with a smile. “Anyone interesting yet, someone you might wanna take home? Cause if you are gonna take someone home let me know so I know not to go home tonight.” He took a step back from her when someone passed by them, giving him a look. “You know what, I should’ve just stayed at the restaurant. You’re just scraping the bottom of the barrel with the people here.” 

Andy shook her head at the smile that betrayed Luke as he slid the menu across the table. “Idoita,” she mumbled under her breath, shooting him back another playful smile. It was nice to be distracted, have lunch with someone other than herself or the guys down at the shop. “You? Groveling?” Her brows raised as she tipped her head back with a short laugh, “I’d pay to see that one, but I’ll let you off the hook with lunch, this time.” She wagged her finger at him before she picked up the menu, “This time only.”

“Idiota means attractive man, right?” he asked with a smile although he knew that whatever it meant was probably the complete opposite. He wouldn’t dwell  on it though, “Sticks and stones my dear Andy. It’s just sticks and stones.” There weren’t many people he treated to lunch and that was mostly due to the fact that he kept his social circle small, like with Andy. She was one of few people that could truly tolerate him. “I’ve only ever groveled once in my life and it was the first time I had to stay in jail overnight and my Ferragamos had vomit on them. I couldn’t clean them and I begged to be released.” He should’ve been embarrassed by that story but that was still a step above telling people he was related to Knox and Vivian. “Order anything you want, but don’t get anything with the word crab in it. It’s not real.”

alright y’all I know I suck but I was having a bit of a muse issue for luke lately. for those of you that had initially replied to his starter (which was ages ago) and you didn’t get my reply but would still like it pls leave a like on this.
