April 14th: What do you like about being autistic?

I have and will “exploit” my disability (it counts as both a disability and just a small difference) even though most times I can’t because whatever allows that isn’t something I like

Yes I know what exploit means, I mean I’m gonna just take the benefits if they could benefit me, usually they don’t so it’s more of a joke than anything.

Different perspectives and having a different though process

April 13th: How much preparation and planning do you need before doing new things, or even for familiar things? Do you need to be totally prepared ahead of time or are you more comfortable with being spontaneous/just going for it? Does it vary for you depending on the thing or the day?

I will personally fight anyone who tries to spontaneously get me to join a plan without at least a week in between. I have to do so much to mentally prepare myself to hang out. Even familiar things like going to the park or something, I need to prepare.

I have to be totally prepared, other than knowing what I want to wear (sometimes I do plan that too), I need to know all.

April 12th : Is there anything you find hard to do because of being autistic? Is there anything that you find easy?

There are some // that stand for tw, just general ones. Also sorry I’ve been busy, they changed the schedule at school.

Other than socializing and cleaning (texture), eating and non-technological things.

So eating wise, everything has to be a similar texture at least 60 percent similar. Only because several textures have different registers to me. Smooth textures have to be completely smooth, crunchy peanut butter is the worst thing to exist other than unseasoned chicken salad. If it’s chewy and I assumed it would be soft or firm, I will cry. If it crunches and it’s soft, I will cry. Immediately and just cannot function.

Also I cant write on paper, I hate highlighters. So many things. Mostly because I anticipate fuck up. Glossy sided papers suck ass. When pen metal hits paper, I wanna // vomit. Pencil wood is genuinely painful. Sometimes mechanical pencils make this god awful crunchy screech. Terrible. So I type everything, typing is one thing all the time and I like the sound.

April 11th: What are your thoughts/feelings about masking (a term for when autistic people hide their autistic traits)? Do you mask?
