i'm not really sure of how to decorate my island, i don't have a theme going on, i just have small decorated places.

mmm, what i did to get to 3 stars quickly was to place a lot of items around the island and plant lots of flowers, also i had i think... 8 villagers? so that way the popularity would rise ( ˶•̀ ᎑ - ˶ )

after reaching 3 stars, you'll unlock the terraforming app so i think it's easier to actually decor the island the way you want (*•؎ •*)

however, since there is not really an 'end game', there's no need to rush, you know?

also! i think buying items that maybe you don't need sounds like wasting bells, but! you can always customize them, give them another use, trade them or just catalog them so you can always buy them again through nook shopping (at nook stop or the app after you unlock it)
