I will always vehemently hate the trope of lon/ely/eyes divorcing over and over again as it just characterizes elias as a whiny, petty, tantrum thrower and peter as a passive innocent who has no agency in his life

Surprisingly on again off again relationships dont happen like this in real life and marrying and divorcing actually costs money and involves a lot of time and legal representation
