            she  listens  to  the  back  and  forth  among  her  and  for  a  moment  she  feels  at  home.  wade  bickers  with  the  rest  of  his  family  just  as  much  as  peter  does  with  the  rest  of  hers,  it’s  a  feeling  that  puts  a  smile  on  her  face  until  she  listens  more  carefully.  c’mon  luck  is  not  a  superpower.  brow  knits  as  she  looks  from  wade  to  domino,  more  curiosity  on  her  features  than  skepticism.    ❛    you  have  the  power  of  luck  ?  how  does  that  work  ?    ❜ 

         ❛   QUITE A MESS you made to clean up.   ❜ she's started to drag the bodies before he can even ask. it's like helping out a friend with extra paperwork. doesn't bother her, doesn't even make her flinch.  what does is having a guy sit up and try to head butt her. he misses by a mile, and is quickly shot in the head. she still gives cable a look over her shoulder.  ❛  might wanna make sure they're all dead next time.   ❜

         ❛  NO RUSH i've got nowhere to be today.   ❜ wade's off doing .... god knows what. but it's undoubtedly dangerous and involves heaps of carnage. danger and carnage he's (  rightfully  ) afraid of bringing home. hence, domino on their couch, watching tv. and also, maybe watching vanessa. just in case. ❛  need any help?   ❜

when domino finds him, he’s still a child. she attempts to rescue him from the base he’s being kept at but they are stopped by their mother, and the cult she started. the cult is centered entirely around eliminating lazarus as his mutant powers are too strong and beatrice sees the future. a future in which, apparently lazarus is a formidable threat to humanity. in order to save her brother domino shoots their mother. she then takes a page from her mother’s book and drops him off at the same church she was once left.

HOWEVER IT is shown in the comics that beatrice lived. the last panel of the comic is beatrice picking up lazarus with a knife in her hand. it doesn’t show him actually dying but it’s heavily implied. here’s where i diverge.

domino, would have dropped him off at the church because of how powerful a mutant he is. she figured, she turned out okay being raised there, and due to his mutation, it’s important that he does to. simply because of how powerful he is, he has to be good. the best he can be. domino, because of the life she lives, isn’t sure she could raise him to be how he needs to be. she doesn’t know how good of a job she’d do. but, she still would want to be part of his life. even if she stayed away initially she’d begin to visit. he’s her only flesh and blood, which would mean a lot to her.

SO, FOR the sake of my canon instead of killing him right away beatrice kidnapped lazarus first. giving domino a chance to rescue him again. this time she actually kills her mother in order to keep her brother safe. she makes sure to eliminate any remaining cult members before she brings lazarus back to the church. she continues to visit him, always keeping an eye on him to make sure he grows up on the straight and narrow. 

         ❛  POOR CHOICE of words.   ❜ considering the pickle they're in. but it's more of domino's pickle than tandy's (  she thinks? hopes? kids get caught up in a ton of crazy shit these days  ). ❛  cross your heart and hope to live, girly. also  ... run and don't look back. i've got this. i'll be right behind you.   ❜
