I have taken a break off tumblr.com to try to put my court to rights. I am now pleased to inform you all that all any civilians that previously found themselves without homes have now had houses rebuilt for them. There are no longer any food shortages; the fields that were destroyed have now been replanted and reinforced. I have abolished the tithe, there is no need for such things. There is absolute trust and harmony within my court, and the sun shines on us all.

I hope you have all been well, especially you, @lucienvanserraofficial , I heard you’ve been through a lot lately. I do hope that you are happy where you are now. I hope we can all be friends now, since I have returned a sincere and changed person.

The Night Court is, unfortunately, rather in disarray.  The...demon that captured me also decided to set much of the city of Velaris on fire. 

That’s a shame, about the night court. I’m sure Rhysand has it all under his control, right?

And as to your question about Rhysand...😂😂🤣 

I am feeling better since the days of Fienerei. However, just thinking about all that we have to do now makes my head hurt!

Plus, the queen and queen consort almost left me believing that NOW, after TWO demon attacks, one of which has caused a nascent revolution in the Night Court, is the best time to leave and hope that democracy is implemented! 

I BARELY managed to convince the royal couple to stay, and now Her Majesty is pissed at me. Which is understandable, considering all they’ve been through, but still. 

And of all things, that horrid @officialbrycequinlan​ woman tried to offer them drugs. AGAIN. Even though Her Majesty taking drugs was THE REASON the queen consort left and got kidnapped by Fienerei, STARTING this whole mess. 

Unfortunate about the drug situation, I have no suggestions as to how to proceed there. I really have no idea how to assist in any of this, but be assured I will do whatever I can to ease your burden. 

I suspect this is Her Majesty getting me out of the way, but-who cares? 

Nothing short of a full revolution. The people of Velaris are...not pleased with the way their rulers handled the demon.  They are, in fact, attempting to storm the Cabin as we speak. 

Amren tried to fix the crisis somewhat, but that only allowed the revolutionaries to focus solely on Rhysand. Given their....anger at Rhysand, Amren saw which way the wind was blowing and thus officially left the Night Court for good, it seems. Which... seems to mean that the Inner Circle is dismantled for good. 

Now, normally, deposing Rhysand could only be a good thing, bu  I worry that some opportunists in the Hewn City might try and take advantage of the revolution for their own gain.

I have done much service for this country, and if your response to criticism of your actions-some criticism of which was not even intended for you to hear- is to get violent with your loyal servants, you should take a deep look inside and ask yourself why that is. 

I suspected this would happen.  I shall now hand in my resignation, immediately. 

I am incredibly disappointed in you, Your Highness. I thought you were a better King than this.  

I thought you were capable of calmly taking criticism and explaining your plans more clearly to your underlings.

Miryam, capable as she is, is a foreign queen, NOT a subject of Terrasen’s court. As such, it should not and can not  be her responsibility to banish every demon that attacks Terrasen. She has her own people to rule, after all. 

The two of you just up and leaving would do nothing but cause the people to riot! Such a riot, rather than being democratic, would only empower a demagogue to take charge, a demagogue who, at best, might not be prepared to govern, and at worst, would actively become a tyrant.

 They need you-they need their queen and queen consort!  ESPECIALLY in such an unstable time as this, when Amarantha has sent demons to attack the mortal population of this country, which, as Her Highness herself has established, are heavily discriminated against. 

Second of all, the demons have already attacked high fae as well as mortals and stolen their forms. While I believed that an anti-human anti-mortal agenda was the sole purpose of them being here, if any of the recent attacks tell us anything, it’s evolved far beyond that.

Third, @officialqueenaelinashryver and I would never just up and leave our citizens. Why are you pushing this idea of us randomly leaving the kingdom defenseless and without order? Since when have we ever led Terrasen with anything besides the care and compassion? Also what part of “establish a democracy for the people” do you not understand?? Obviously we would wait until the people have suitable representatives before taking leave. Terrasen had many allies who could very well be potential candidates, but again, at the end of the day, the people would elect their own figures to represent them. We would oversee the process to make sure things run smoothly, but when did we ever indicate that we would just up and leave?

As a matter of fact, I used to WORK in the Palace of Bone and Salt-I was a purveyor of meat and spices, and made a tidy sum.  Now my business is ruined, and I have no means to support myself save for begging my shrew of a mother-in-law for money! 

 Money which she is unlikely to support me with-especially now that my wife is dead thanks to the fact that YOU let the estate on the Sidra burn. She was visiting a friend who worked there as a servant, and now she has lost her life thanks to your heartlessness!

@officialqueenaelinashryver  Here is the update, Your Majesty: 

Terrasen got off surprisingly unscathed, all things considered. No citizens of Terrasen were hurt, nor was anything in Terrasen destroyed, during the demon’s rampage. The same goes for our allies in Adarlan and in Cretea. 

The same cannot be said for our frenemies in the Night Court, however. While the city of Velaris still stands, much of it was burned to the ground and there WERE casualties. This, plus the actions of its ruling couple, have caused the citizens to go into revolt. This revolt appears to be led by an individual known as @angryvelariscitizen .  Thus we can expect a great deal of chaos to be coming from that in the forseeable future. 

I have done research on the demon who impersonated me, and here is what I could gather. The demon is known as Haraspri, and what it said about possession, was, in fact, correct.  It, unlike Fienerei, does NOT possess the people it impersonates, namely because it isn’t capable of doing so. 

What Haraspri is capable of doing, according to the resources I had available, is this: 

Winnowing

fire manipulation (probably how it set all those fires) 

changing shape and accessing the thoughts of those it impersonates

And that is it for its powers. The books do not mention how it created the magic cage on the beach. They did, however, mention that Haraspri likes to eat the hearts of High Fae women. LITERALLY eat their hearts.  Thus, in retrospect, it is probably a good thing that Feyre was not present at the townhouse when it knocked. Not that anything High Lady Feyre did after that was good. 

With your permission, Your Majesty, I would like to create an official archive of all the demons we have attacked and defeated thus far, starting with Fienerei and Haraspri. And of course, adding more if more demons attack.
