“Yes. I can. Or well, my brother can.. he’s the one that told me to contact you.” Letting out a small sigh, Yanteru looked around a little, obviously nervous. No one was watching right? She wasn’t watching right??

“Listen, this is very important for me. I need Megami Saiko dead. She is well guarded and basically untouchable… but my brother guaranteed that you’re one of the best in this.. field..

If you really do good we’ll make sure that you get paid more than enough.” Not only was the, quite feminine seeming boy in front of you nervous, oh no it was more than that; It was pure anxiety. He cupped his hands, brought them to his lips, put them in his hair, played with the rip of his uniform. – It wasn’t really a nice view.

“I can give you all the background information you need about her. You can take as much time as you need – But I need to see her corpse by Friday 3pm.” Yanteru lifted his head and as he locked his light grey orbs with your’s, you could see that there was nothing. Yes he was trembling, yes he was on edge, but there was no feeling of remorse what so ever.

In these mirrors was nothing at all.

           “I need fifty percent of it upfront. It will cost an extra twenty percent due to it being politically involved and another fifty percent for it being someone under twenty.”

There’s familiarity here. A shell with nothing but purpose. There was potential here behind these batting eyes. One which questioned why the work wasn’t handled himself. Had there been possible fear for consequence? From the tone and disposition it was hard to say if even that was an issue.

    “This is just a consultation meeting, so if you want it done before Friday I’ll need that down payment by tomorrow if not tonight.”

An urgent kill huh? Children always were so impulsive. Couldn’t it wait? Learning the schedule of guards and of the target didn’t just happen over night. Information leaked or not it wasn’t so simple to slaughter a person of importance suddenly.

“Exactly! If it never ends, why bother? I’d rather spend time makin’ money or having fun than clean a never-ending layer of dust.” Cu grinned. “I don’t think anyone’s expecting you to clean it up, either. As long as we do our own dishes and pick up after ourselves, things shouldn’t get too bad, right? Besides, it’s not like you’re running sermons, so who cares what the church looks like inside?”  

Ayano could be difficult to get through to sometimes, it seemed. Even when she agreed with him, it sometimes seemed like she was only doing it to get him to shut up, or to end the conversation. Or maybe he was just imagining it.

“Eh…? Blood? No, Ayano, this isn’t… This has nothing to do with combat. It’s just for fun.” Cu shook his head in bewilderment. Wow, and he thought that Saber was a stickler for ‘things being useful in battle’. Ayano wasn’t even a Servant, she was a Master, and a new one at that. “See, it’s that kinda thinking that tells me you need this sorta thing- you’re too tense. You need to kick back and relax a bit, do stuff that makes ya laugh. Like sliding around on the ice like a goofball.” He grinned, giving her a slight tug, to make her go faster.

            “Stuff that makes me laugh.. Right..”

As if such a thing even existed. The mere presence of “fun” was a concept so foreign it began to form nothing more than the stereotypical laughing and smiling that came with it. This act.. Switching masks up every other day.. How long could it last? Sure sticking to the diligent facade of “responsibility over fun” was a smooth ride to play into this bland personality she possessed, but eventually.. he might catch on.

   “And is this fun for you? Legitimately fun? Pushing yourself around in a circle on ice? Risking falling and hurting yourself or someone else?”

Thankful for how complacent he seemed tugging her along, Ayano obliged to try and pick up the pace. Of course to some fail as soon as a turn came around the unskilled skater definitely slid straight into one of the barriers. Letting out a rather disgruntled sigh over the edge while she hunched over it in defeat.

            "Uhh...? Was something suppose to happen?”

“Cookies!” The question from earlier was completely forgotten. Instead, he was overjoyed at getting cookies and they even smelled good! Look how perfect they are! How could he turn these down.

“I love sweets…”
