No its because most boys look ridiculous in girls clothes, but girls look decent in “boyfriend” clothes. Stop trying to make EVERY THING into some form of female oppression.

It’s not “boyfriend” clothes. Clothes do not inherently have gender, they are pieces of fabric and no one cares about your hetero insertions. There was a time when it was normal for young men to wear dresses, clothing was much more gender neutral.

And they all look fabulous as fuck, like wow!

The only reason you think so now is because you are socialised differently. Which is ok, that happens, but when you assert things as facts and don’t look at any of the culture behind them you looking like an anal fissure.

Do not project your issues onto other men, men can wear whatever the fuck they want and look fabulous as hell.

As someone who does a lot of period sewing lemme explain a thing

women wore skirts because they needed to pee, without sit down toilets, they needed to be able to drop and squat without falling on their faces, and the skirts needed to give them some dignity

because men don’t have the same problem they saved on fabric and put the money in construction instead

women weren’t allowed to be sexy in clothes so men owned that, and their favourite way was to show off their legs, and the richer the man the tighter the pants

THAT is why clothes were different, because a man can stand up to pee on a tree, but if a woman tried it they ended up covered in pee and if she pulled the pants down the chances were she’d end up facedown in a ditch

if a man had to hoik up his skirts there’s be pee everywhere again

but now we have sit down toilets - we don’t need a difference now, the only reason not to is because you don’t like it, or the colour doesn’t work for you
