In a Hopeless place

Quinn: We need a girls night.

“oh i’ll send in a formal complaint.”

“i can do a cake. if i don’t have enough time to bake one, i’ll just stop by mrs. meeks bakery.”

“I’ll e-mail you the form.”

“Aw, that’s good to hear. I rarely do family get together’s outside of our small family, so I admire you.” 

“The Fabray family isn’t that big. Outside of my family, it’s just my sister and her daughters.”

“I’m always down for cake, to be honest. I just have to watch how much I actually eat.”

“Oh don’t worry about that, between Jace and Mika, you’ll be fighting to get a single piece.”

I know momma,  but like i still would have felt bad if i was their last resort and i said no

“You can always answer and if you’re not the last resort, have an excuse ready.”

“So, how did it go?”

“Really well, actually. Mom loved having the family around.”

Quinn: So I was going to call you and get mad that you skipped out on your grandmother's birthday party then I remembered you're not in Ohio at the moment.

“Yes I most definitely am. Okay, okay. I will definitely be there then.”

“Fantastic, it will be fun. At the very least you’ll get cake.”

“Well, of course, but at what cost?”

“It’s actually not that bad.”

“That’s good at least. You can’t be doing all that by yourself, Quinn.” 

“I’ve done it a hundred times, and honestly I know if I were to call on anyone to help me, they would.”

“if the porn star is higher up on the favorite grandchildren list rather than me, i’ll send in a formal complaint.”

“that’d probably be for the best. anything you want me to do? or force jace, janelle, and mika to do stuff?”

“All formal complaints must be submitted in writing and HR will get back to you in 3-5 business days.”

“That doesn’t sound fun at all…”

“Actually it’s a lot of fun, once we get past all the work.”

“If you’re sure. What do you have planned? Or have you not figured that out yet?”

“I’m keeping it simple, we’re all going to meet at her house, have some food, maybe some cake. Mostly she just wants to have the family around.”
