But like. Functionally it serves as a way for live experience testing to be done on a game. It’s a way to dial it in on what people want, and on how to best make the game.

This means that, stars above, you don’t need to fucking review bomb it the second there’s a problem, you have avenues for giving feedback, stop saying the game is doomed because there’s been one bad update ffs

It is, has been, and always will be Contessa. Hell, I got so mad at the way things ended for her in Ward that I wrote a whole story about her getting a happy ending.

It's a lot of things really. She's a woman in a suit whose first appearance is taking out a team of mercenaries without batting an eye. She's just incredibly hot and cool and I always appreciate that. Especially since for most of Worm she's just this threat lurking in the background. Like so many minor characters in Worm, she just shines once she gets her interlude.

I think it's interesting the comparison between her and Taylor in the last chapter. Two women who gave up so much to stop Scion, both with completely different views on it. That last conversation between Contessa and Taylor manages to make me cry half the time. Contessa hoping to get something from Taylor, some understanding, some insight into herself. And she sends Taylor away to go live a normal life because similarly she hopes she can be redeemed now that everything is over.

I think what really gets me is this. A nine year old girl saw her entire village mutated and killed. She witnessed the horrible vision of what the entities were planning. She saw the cycle, their power, the Endbringers, everything. And she decided she would give up everything she'd ever known, any future available to her, to make sure that didn't happen.

Hi anon, honestly, it's discipline. Motivation could only get you so far, so you have to work on your comic regardless of how you feel that day.

Set a schedule or deadline and try your best to stick to it. It also helps to break the process into smaller tasks so it doesn't feel overwhelming. One step at a time. Script, thumbnails, sketches, finalizing. One page. One panel at a time. Even working on a page for just 5 minutes is progress. Sometimes starting for one minute can suddenly turn into 8 hours of drawing xD it's all about building the habit and getting yourself into the zone.

Looking at other comics helps too. Reading, watching movies, listening to music that fits the mood of your story, all of that can give inspiration.

Also, don't let perfectionism stop you from progressing. A finished page is better than a page you endlessly redraw and never post...but if the Will genuinely just isn't there, it's okay to take a break and come back when your head's in a better space.

And if your comic itself no longer feels exciting to you, maybe ask yourself if this is really a story you want to tell? Maybe explore the world more, rewrite scenes, or focus on the parts that made you love the idea in the first place

Ieptus

Left to its own devices the shape it cuts is usually just a square around some important installation, but Ieptus is both relatively squishy by Endbringer Standards and very, very fast. So an Ieptus fight consists of it hauling ass in an evasive pattern, dragging one hand through the ground and parrying like crazy with the other, inevitably cutting a vast whackadoodle section of the terrain out of the ground, creating more infrastructure problems than if you’d just let him take whatever specific target he’d shown up for with out any fuss.
