Trying to write more, so I am keeping a journal to help organize my thoughts about a current writing project when I am away from my computer.

Must be almost St. Patrick's Day at work.  The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.  

My very first crochet project, finished in December.  It has begun a dangerous habit of blanket making.

Knitting Problems: Not having a project worthy of such gorgeous yarn.

Yarn: Regia Crazy Colour #5446 Sylt and Tanis Fiber Arts Yellow Label in Chestnut The Regia yarn was a thank you gift from a friend.  She gave me, my wife, and my girlfriend each a ball of the same colour.  Tacky, matching mittens here we come!

Every-damn-time.  Clean the lid and rim before you put your materials away unless you really enjoy spending ten minutes prying them open again.

Right now I have two wedding blankets I am working on.  Sometimes I lose focus and enthusiasm, and I doubt if I will ever finish them.  So I remind myself that a Wedding is just one day.  A marriage - a good marriage - lasts much longer.  A quilt or an afghan takes a long time to make, but it will keep the people I care about warm for many winters.  So it's probably okay if my gifts tend to be a bit late.

This is one of my favourite things on the internet.  GOLDEN always does awesome stuff, I highly recommend reading their Just Paint Newsletter if you are a total art and material nerd.

Here I am with a tumblr.   I'm not totally sure what a 'tumblr' is, but I have one.  Hopefully this will be a place where I can dump pictures and words without feeling obliged to be brilliant.  That's what this is for, right?
