Night has come… and another war has begun.

During the day, we live through the war of displacement and bombardment. We run from one place to another, carrying our children and searching for a safe place, not even knowing if such a place still exists…

And at night, another war begins—the war of insects and fleas that bite and tear at our bodies, keeping us from even closing our eyes and getting a little rest after the exhaustion of the day.

We are not asking for a luxurious life… We are only asking for one night where we can sleep safely, without fear, without bombardment, and without insects biting our bodies.

I no longer have a home or any source of income, and I rely on aid to feed my family. While searching for food, I was shot in the neck, and the bullet exited through my back, fracturing my spine. Hello, I'm Sharif Al-Amoudi from Gaza. I'm married and have twins, Hussam and Ahmed, who are five months old. They were born after four attempts at artificial insemination. My wife and I came to Egypt in June for the IVF procedure, and she became pregnant, but we were stranded in Egypt after the war. I was employed in Gaza, and my wife was a mathematics teacher. Now we have no income after everything was destroyed. My twins were born in April, and one of them (Ahmed) has two holes in his heart and also suffers from optic nerve damage as a result of being in the neonatal intensive care unit.

He was given artificial oxygen and needs special care, surgery, and numerous treatments at great expense. He now needs special milk and medication. I also suffer from a slipped disc and cannot work hard in Egypt. I need surgery that costs 2000 euros. I live in a rented apartment that costs me 200 euros a month. You are our only hope.
