mainly dance videos

started dancing at busy streets just for fun with his friend chan

chan convinced him to make a youtube channel because his talents should be “shared to the entire universe” and a month later he’s 20k subscribers in

posts dance covers on rooftops with his own choreography and hires minghao as his camera man so now when he dances to bruno mars it looks like a movie

wears masks when he first started and you can only see his eyes but they’re still so distinct you can bump into him at the street and recognise  him easily lol

eventually he does challenges with minghao and jun but the funny ones like naming the song from the first second or whisper challenges

they’d all get chaotic and eventually someone hits the camera

live streams some behind the scenes of him dancing but without the music and his subscribers have come up with a game wherein they guess which song is playing

probably reads all the comments and replies to every single one of them and his heart gushes over the praises

gets overly explanative when it came to titles lol

puts his gigs in the description box and thinks people don’t read them but at his next busking event there are way too many people than the previous one and he gets to meet his fans after!!

does short films with up and coming actors and gets millions of views and sometimes gets featured in other social medias but isn’t that famous on his own because he never stars in them

still in film school when he started gaining attention and scouted some production companies before he even graduated

really likes cameras and does tutorials on how to develop your own film at home

vlogs vintage store and tries to score vintage cameras even the ones that don’t work with jun

friends with jun and soonyoung and joked about how great of a dancer he’d be if he just knew how

so he tried dancing with hoshi in one of his live streams and the comments came flooding in about how great of a dancer he is and how talented this boi is

hoshi introduced him to chan and made him go to his studio 

when chan dropped the cover with minghao on his channel people freAked

it was a simple cover but you could see the potential oozing from minghao

all throughout the video he’s smiling, you can tell how much he enjoys dancing

and his smile after looked so accomplished that people fell in love with him even more

also does live streams!! but just when he’s editing, usually at two in the morning and he’s got on his beanie and turtleneck windbreaker and it’s one of the times he shows his face on his channel

first in the group to reach a million subs and one of his short films got to #3 on trending and hit a hundred million views that he almost cried

minghao didn’t start his channel to become famous that’s why his channel’s name is the8 films

then his og fans started tagging him everywhere and people discovered him and look at this cute chinese boy getting famous all of a sudden

the lowkey one out of the group bc he values what people think of his work instead of his personal videos that’s why now he gets surprised when they get more views than some of his other films

the sweetest all around youtuber of the group

he does videos about his dancing on the street with his friend hoshi and some covers that he has so many of, he’s made a series

he calls it, “jun’s lullabies”, because his voice is so angelic it calms his viewers down and just films his videos in his room with an old mic at night with a lamp open so it’s a little dark and he’s in the corner of the room in his pj’s under the sheets singing

it’s one of his favorite videos because he can just do it whenever he wants

speaks chinese in his videos and adds korean subtitles and when he occasionally speaks korean, his fans always comment about how different and low his voice gets

he often gets mentioned by other youtubers as the cute guy singing in his bed

he could be so famous if he just left his business email in his description box so that people could contact him but he just!! doesn’t!! 

a third of his youtube comments are all offers by record labels trying to contact him bc all his other socials are private so you can only be in touch with him through his youtube videos

posted a video of him cooking with his mom and the views plummeted because people couldn’t stop talking about how even more attractive he is because he’s such a gentleman and a great cook, soft spoken and overall somebody great to bring home to the folks

his chill personality and soft editing is how he gathers his fans and makes them fall in love bc who wouldn’t want to be with soft boy jun?

cute bb turned into an internet sensation when people discovered him from famous artists’ music videos and essentially gained some followers

he films dance videos too !! in his dad’s studio

sometimes he collaborates with other dancers he’s become friends with and once he danced with a kpop idol and his videos blew up

sometimes he films on set music videos getting ready and some behind the scene takes. he also tapes himself getting starstruck at idols and getting free stuff lol

lowkey hangs out with the ones he does a lot of projects with and those vids get a lot more view

the rest of his content are crack videos of him and his friends

most likely does mukbangs with hoshi and the others and teaches dance classes for beginners in his dad’s studio

gets overly excited when he gets casted as a choreographer of a famous kpop artist

really likes stupid challenges and makes the guys do it with him for some reason

consistent posting but his editing is a bit much sjsjjsjsjs

doesn’t believe he’s famous till someone recognizes him on the street and goes,

“i really like your vlogs!”

kun, the insanely rich bastard that thinks he owns the world

he’s not always wearing a glare on his face

but if he does, you should know that you should be walking in the opposite direction right away if you don't want to get your feelings hurt

kun - to put it simply - isn't as nice as he claims

his friends like to say that if you want to survive college, then you’d have to survive bumping into qian kun at least once in your life

kun is a self-absorbed young adult that dwells on making himself feel superior

you can’t count the times you’ve heard people say that qian kun had ruined another soul in campus when a poor student stepped on his valentino shoes

sure qian kun is filthy rich and mind-numbingly powerful but he has no control over someone's life

but then again, anyone under qian kun’s scowl would crumble to pieces

you see, qian kun is rich

insanely rich 

and he isn't that shy on rubbing it on everybody's faces

his sports car parked in the most convenient parking spot - that he paid for exclusively for him - was always the talk of the campus

so are his latest instagram posts wherein he's hanging around in one of their hangars

and rumors about him secretly running his family's business while simultaneously going to college

that,,, wasn’t entirely true

he wasn't all in the whole running his own business area

yet he appears to people like he is

choosing a business management major to ““expand”” his so-called industry knowledge 

posting pictures of his father's office whilst putting in a hefty caption about how handling paperwork is draining 

qian kun is as bogus as he is rich

you know for a fact he's not all he says he is

he’s loaded and handsome and has a knack for pissing every person on campus 

but he’s also pushed into being pretentious out of pressure and chooses to hide what he's actually passionate about rather than fail to meet everyone's expectations 

you’ve learned that qian kun, as unlikely as it is, is a coward too

because qian kun is the last person you expect to see at your photography class outside campus

with his expensively arranged outfit and top of the line camera - he's turning heads for everyone at the class

you yourself are baffled that he chose an ordinary photography class, unlike those with professionals 

you try not to bump into him on campus because you think the lack of bling on you would offend him

but then he doesn’t look so intimidating now

“this is how you put the film on right ???”

qian kun mumbles beside you

the back of his camera is propped open and a roll of film is begging to be untangled on the palm of his hand

you think he doesn't recognize you and you're right

he had chosen this class specifically because no one there would try and suck up to him

and he had no clue about how photography works but he figures that everybody starts off at somewhere

“oh- uh,, yeah,, just pull this one back” 

you instruct and help him set up the camera,,, kun thanks you and smiles sweetly as he does so

is this the same qian kun around school ??

you wave him off when he thanks you again, saying it's no big deal

but it was

you had a list full of questions 

why was he here ???

is this really qian kun or does he have a twin ??

is this a prank ??

it turns out that it isn’t

qian kun looks peculiar when he isn't spitting insults like,

“i get your mind is a size of a rodent’s but do you not know how to watch where you're going?”

and when he actually looks normal

no looking like the country's youngest ceo and top influencer with rolls of hundreds in his back pocket

just qian kun in a comfortable shirt taking pictures of things he finds pretty like the flowers on the side of the road and neat cafe entrances 

and sometimes when kun gets lost in changing the settings of his camera, he comes to you

out of all people

there’s only around fifteen people in the class but kun doesn't really talk much to others

he likes to be in the back and listen to the photographer talk about apertures and shutter speeds

ever so casually getting confused over which one is which

that’s when he comes to you

with his gleeful smiles that almost makes you forget how different he is when you catch sight of him around campus

almost

“this icon’s for the shutter speed right?”

you nod and kun smiles charmingly. it’s getting to be around kun now, you notice. being exposed to this side of him convinces you that rumors are just rumors

his attention falls back to the small screen of his new camera again and you push your thoughts on the back of your mind

eventually when you two are set to capture moving landscapes around the city,,, you're shocked to see qian kun inviting you to shoot with him

“hey,,, i know the shoot isn’t due for another week but,,, do you wanna,, maybe,, take a headstart??”

his dimples are showing and his smile is warm and captivating 

you bite the inside of your cheek and smile as you agree

qian kun hardly seems like a cold-hearted brat anymore when sunday rolls around and you’re having a photoshoot with him around quiet neighborhoods

he poses effortlessly in front of bakeries with old open signs on them and littered pots of plants just by the side of the entrance

beside the street lights that isn't lit but looks just as bright with kun beside it

sitting on the steps of the mossy stairs and capturing the towers of homes behind him makes everything slightly better

you remember how cold he is when he's as anywhere else

but also seeing that kun isn't really like that with your own eyes somehow puts you at ease

“this one looks good doesn't it??”

kun asks as he goes through the shots you took of him

surely it doesn't take many tries to get an image that catches kun’s eyes

“yeah,, we should try the playground next”

“let me take some of you too!”

kun cheers and takes his camera from his bag, backing a couple steps to get a better frame

“w-what,,, no that's not necessary, come on let's try the building with the pretty windows again”

you shake your head and grab kun by the shoulders and turn his body to the other direction

“come on! it’ll be fun to pose for the camera”

he whines but you persist on moving to the next location

kun sighs but he nods obediently

the building with the pretty windows is pretty crowded and you and kun are forced to stand by the side while waiting for the people to disperse

he grabs you a burger before sitting beside you

your legs are sore from walking around all day while carrying loads of lenses

kun groans and lets his back slump against the wall 

“i can't tell if this hotdog is delicious or i’m just really hungry”

you grin and say he’s probably insanely hungry to think street hotdogs could be so appetizing to which he smiles to

there's a silence for a moment when you and kun stare to the people walking around the open area

the place is still packed with people - the scenery is beautiful and a great place to watch the sunset

especially since it's reflecting against the mirror windows of the building

so people tend to flock the place

kun knows this, he often drives by the building and sees the huge herds of people watching the sun hide between the clouds

he often thinks what it'd be like to watch it when he's not in the comfort of his car

and now he finally gets to,,, with you

“i have to say,,,, you feel kind of familiar to me”

kun mutters as he takes another bite

you stretch your legs and place your backpack over them

“i think it's got something to do with the fact that we go to the same uni”

you confess - taking another bite and avoiding kun’s eyes. he’s silent, you could tell you’ve pressed the wrong button

“oh,,, so you know about,,, that”

you could practically hear kun gulp 

there's a shift in the air and you know he's uncomfortable 

“yeah,,, but now i don't though”

it's an attempt to cheer him up after the troubling ,,,, revelation

kun looks at the ground and fiddles with the wrapping of his hotdog sandwich 

“it's a front by the way,,,” 

he whispers and clears his throat

kun warily glances up to you as if to see if you’ve been seeing him likes everybody else has

and kun, shocked to say, only sees your true eyes that aren't frightened nor laced with disgust

they're calm and inviting

kun’s chest heaves up and down as his breath eases

“you wanna tell me how it's a front?”

kun blinks and pulls through his thoughts

“oh,,, they say it's supposed to build me an image. the whole being a jerk kind of thing, it’ll supposedly help me when i take over the company,, something on the lines that i’m intimidating and not someone to mess with but i don't really want to earn my position there by pissing people off -”

kun purses his lips and settles for another bite

you do too

it's obvious that kun really feels genuine about how he feels

if only people saw this side of him

maybe they won't think that lousily of him

“- it just irks me you know? it's not like i enjoy hurting other people's feelings, i’m just trying to show my parents that i'm willing to do anything for the position, but i don't even think it's worth it at this point”

kun continues 

you sense the sting in his voice and hesitate to speak, a part of you wants to, but you know it’d be better for him to let it all out before you voice out your thoughts

“i just don't know how to turn it around. people think i’m this heartless egotist and it feels like whatever i do it’ll never change their minds”

kun's hands are leaned back against the dirty floor - acting as support when he talks

the only time kun could act as himself is when he takes the sundays off and sneak to his photography classes and act like how he wants to

no restrictions 

no observant eyes

no one to hurt

“maybe there is something you can do”

you nudge him by the shoulder and his eyes fall to you

it's sad to see that they're mostly void of hope

but even a slither is all you need

“try to be less,,,, how your parents want you to be. and more how you want to be”

he scoffs playfully but you know he's considering it

“they wouldn't let me”

“they will,,, you're the only heir and there's nothing they can really do about that,, they're gonna have to give you that position at some point or another, so just go nail being the nice dude now”

you chuckle and finish the hotdog in your hands

glancing at kun once in a while,, he seems to be relieved 

because now there's only silence

comfortable silence

while the sun sets and it isn't as painful to stare at it

kun keeps his eyes on the pretty scenery

hendery, the rich kid that never gets contented

the towering gray ceiling of the manor was a boring sight, to say the least

hendery often thought that his parents were too old fashioned for his taste

insisting on having brass triple candlesticks on every surface available

oil portraits of the family broadly displayed in the middle of the grand foyer

and endless selection of vintage wine from all over the globe in their wine cellars

among the numerous rooms of the mansion, hendery’s personal favorite is the library

one of the largest rooms in their home

it held a variety of books ranging from biographies of men he didn’t know to the most enchanting of witchcraft grimoires

hendery loved grabbing a stack of books and flipping through them to catch the pictures in between

he wasn’t very fond of reading them though

but every once in awhile, he turns to the text and reads them intently

and if he does get himself engrossed in a book - which is rarely - he happens to not let anything bother him for the rest of the day

hendery either has no interest in a story whatsoever, or he’s nose deep in one

there’s no in-between

when hendery has no energy to read a book but is itching to have a fantasy play out in his head - he turns to you

his private tutor

it turns out a lot of wealthy parents choose to have private tutors for their children when the school they pay heaps of cash aren’t enough

you aren’t exactly hendery’s personal tutor,,,

you had only filled out for your superior that one time 

you were an intern at the review center that hendery was enrolled in

usually, only the heads of each division were allotted to teach hendery

but on one occasion where the physics professor was unavailable, you were more than happy to fill in

and so it seems hendery was too

“no grumpy mrs. wang today?”

was the first thing he had said to you

you were seated across him with his textbooks in hand

“uh,, i’m afraid not. she’s got some business to tend to”

he clicked the side of his phone and slid it down his pocket, resting both hands on the desk and tilting his head to the right to study your face

you gulp and straighten your shoulders, clearing your throat to switch the attention back to the books in front of you

strikingly, the entire session wasn’t as horrid as you think

hendery didn’t speak much really

he only stared at the pages and tapped his fingers to the beat in his head

once in a while you’d look up to him to check if he’s still following

but he'd already been staring at you

with the same curious gaze he had the moment you stepped foot in the room

but then he gives a half smile

not a grin or a smirk

it was oddly genuine and that could either give you weak knees or a sign to continue on with the topic

you picked the second with a touch of the first

an hour and a half passes quickly and hendery is off to his literature professor

reminding him about his homework and upcoming lessons to be discussed the following week before you leave

your goodbye is short and appropriate

meanwhile, hendery’s is the complete opposite

“will i ever see you outside this wretched place?”

“i wouldn't call it that but,,, perhaps”

you smile and wave him goodbye

hendery watches as your figure fades the farther you go

he had finally found something interesting 

hendery surely did keep an eye out for you, whenever he passed by the room you had shared,, he keeps on hoping maybe he'll see you there

mathematics is hendery’s least favorite subject

he hates numbers and solving mathematical equations that he'll most likely won't use in real life

so when the teacher went out to grab a couple of mock tests

and he saw you passing by through the clear door

he took his chance

“hey hey hey,,,,”

hendery catches up to your side and nudges your shoulder

if you remember correctly, the last time you’ve seen him was two weeks ago when you taught him about distance and displacement measurements and he did nothing but stare 

“uh,, hi ?? don't you have class ??”

“nah,, i got the rest of the day off. but i didn't get this lesson about motions or something - would you mind helping me out ??”

hendery isn't nervous at all, you notice

he’s rather confident and straightforward 

as an intern, you feel obligated to help him, not just him

any student in the center that needs it

and also,,, you think it’d score you some points if you get to teach someone like hendery

so you agree

and hendery's smile appears again

but you've never seen it so wide like this

he takes you back to his house and for some reason, you don't feel disturbed at all 

because hendery is playful and childish 

he reminds you of who you should be

his car - you assume - has chocolates and candies in the minibar and he has basketball shoes under the driver's seat

his driver’s cool and hendery buys him snacks and a burger when you stop by the drive thru

he had ordered you the largest burger with fries and drinks when you refused because he says he didn't want you to starve while teaching him

the car is obviously expensive but hendery acts as if it's an old piece of junk

judging by the way he spills the sauce on the leather seat,, hendery could care less

you stop for a while when you reach the gate of his house,,, you see that there's still a long road ahead from the entrance and you think hendery is as rich as those young heirs in movies

but it's hard to focus on that when hendery has ketchup stains on his cheek

“hendery you’ve got something on your cheek”

you point and hendery whips his head at you immediately 

“here??”

he asks and wipes the corner of his lips softly - but it only spreads the ketchup

you smile and nod when he asks you if he got it

he grins too and the lines when he smiles reappear

hendery - you’ve discovered in the short time you’ve spent with him - is someone you wouldn’t hesitate to be with

when you finally get to his house,,, you're greeted by huge doors and an array of housekeepers

they greet hendery with such politeness and greet you too

hendery asks them to fix both of you some refreshers while you study in the library

you timidly follow him, careful not to slip away because the house is so big you could get lost in it

you see how traditionalistic the house is

from the intricate details and vintage decorations, you wonder how hendery got his coy and energetic personality from a place so,,,, formal

the library is gigantic and filled with towering bookshelves

hendery pulls you by your hand and takes you to one of the aisles to grab an old book

the spine has creases and the edges are blunt but there's no trace of dust on it

unlike the others

“this one's my favorite,,, it's about a king falling in love with the ruler of his family's old-time rival kingdom, it's kind of cliche but the way it was written and the sketches inside makes it one of a kind”

hendery says as he flips through the pages easily with all the times he's done it before

the paper automatically opens up to the pages where drawings of the two nobles picture each other

it makes you wonder if hendery likes reading, but you don't ask, you want him to continue talking about the things he like

hendery stands up and you follow him out the aisle

he kicks his shoes off and grabs a couple more while you're seated on the floor

“the carpet’s really soft so you should ditch your shoes”

you grin at the absurd tip but you listen 

and he was right

carefully taking the laces of your shoes apart and neatly placing them beside your bag - you let your feet touch the floor

the ground felt as if it were made with cotton

hendery comes back with a stack of books and lets them fall on the ground

“okay,,, are we going to read all of these ??”

you ask,, grabbing one and patting away the dust

“nope,,, can you read them to me??”

hendery props himself down at the floor - stomach side down and feet up in the air

you giggle and nod your head yes

he beams and hands you one to start 

you didn't know what the book was about but you still read it nonetheless

it was nice

there were huge windows that touched the ceilings - giving you a lovely view of the garden and the fountain in the middle

not long after, drinks were served along with soft pillows that made your reading session with hendery a tad more comfortable 

from time to time you’d catch hendery staring at the painted ceiling with knitted eyebrows, laser-focused on your words

it's great, you conclude

this might be the only time you think hendery focuses on something entirely

spending time in a grand place with a grand person but with and ordinary activity
