Warning: Cussing 

You were known for your charming... temper. Which most found very odd. You were a very cute girl with a bright smile and an actual charming personality. 

You had your moments though

The over dramatic arm waving, flushing pink of your cheeks and the particular squeak that would crack through the last words you yelled, making you sound more like a prepubescent boy instead of a feared and battle hardened veteran of the Survey Corp. Once your voice cracked the others, your comrades, would snicker rolling their eyes at your antics which only pissed you off further. At this point you found yourself flying across the table you were sitting at or running at an impressive speed to drop kick whoever was deserving of you wrath that day. Usually you were stopped mid lunge by a scowling Captain Levi who would curse and order you to go clean something. 

You usually heeded to his demands. Usually. 

Today was one of those exceptions. 

You had been standing next to your horse packing it’s saddle bags in preparation for the next days expedition when you felt a little and infuriating  pink on the back of your head. Quickly you turned around glaring at the space behind you. There was nobody. The water troff laid complacent as usual, the water not rippling from any disturbance. ‘weird’ you thought loading the last little bit of supplies int the bags before turning your attention checking your horses hooves until you felt the same pink again. You flipped around quicker hoping to catch whatever bastard was screwing with you but again. Nothing. 

A huff left your mouth as acid rose in your throat. ‘Your probably just imagining it. Ignore it. There no need to cause a fight’ Bending down you gently bent your horses leg up expecting for cracks around the horse shoe. 

Pink

You jolted accidentally knocking your body off of your horse’s. It shifted around uncomfortably ready to buck until you began gently stroking it’s neck. “I’m so sorry girl” you coo’d surveying the area around you. Silence. Not the normal kind more like the suspicious kind. 

“Hey guys?” you said sweetly to your comrades who were in the stalls next to you tending to their horses. As of late you strived to manage your blow outs not wanting to piss the Captain off the days leading up to the expedition. He was already stressed as it is and you wanted to made his life easier. 

Not that you ever accomplished that goal. 

But at least you tired.

 “Is anybody getting hit by something or is it just me?”  As the words left your mouth you heard Petra giggle from a few stalls down. “Shut up” Olou hushed in a tone he thought you wouldn’t hear. “No it’s probably flies. When was the last time you showered cadet?” he said strengthening his voice. 

Heat rushed to your cheeks. “Cadet?” you teased trying to keep the mood light. “Olou are you still trying to impersonate the Captain. We both know your to ugly to pull that off.” 

He scoffed mumbling something to himself. You didn’t hear it but from his tone you could tell it wasn’t pleasant. Victorious you smiled to yourself about to move onto the horses back hoof until you felt it again. 

This time the poison that you tried to contain boiled up and out of your mouth. “Okay who the fuck is messing with me?” you yelled stomping out of your stall so the others could see you. Eld, Petra and Olou looked away from you a smirk forming on their faces. “Huh?” you said reaching to the back of your head to focused on the mud that was now caking in your hair to caught up in your own head to realize that Gunther was nowhere to be seen. 

You picked the chunks of dirt from your strands of hair whispering a a slew of cuss words.

 It was mud. Fucking mud.

 Petra looked behind you making an X with her hands. Olou slapped her arms down laughing but brushing it off as a cough. In all reality you shouldn’t let their antics get to you as easily as they did but you found you had become the butt of most of their jokes as well as the one who took most of the heat from them. You got it, you were easy to rile up and in the hell you constantly plunged yourselves in you could’t really blame them. That didn’t mean you didn’t want to decapitate every single of of them sometimes. 

“Com eon let’s cut it out. She’s go ttheat look in her eyes. I don’t want her going all psycho.” 

You twitched. ‘Psycho?” you hissed stepping forward. Her face bushed not expecting you to hear her utters. Before you could pursue her you attention was stolen away by glob of mud that plopped down on the back of your head. This time it wasn’t a simple plink. The mixture of dirt and horse manure didn’t dry right away as the other had. Oh no. This time is is crept itself down your long strands of hair making it’s way down onto your back. 

‘Sorry Captain’ you thought before ripping you attention to Gunter who stood behind you with a shit eating grin, a bucket dripping shit in his hand. “I’ll kill you!” you yelled lunging at him. He let out a panicked laugh attempting to run away from your grasp but it was futile. You dug your finger nail into his shoulder and lifted your knee to slam into his groin. 

Levi’s P.O.V

Levi stood against the wall in Erwin’s office lazily sipping at the cup of tea in his hand while his eyes scooped the darkening landscape that lie beyond the office window. In the distance there was the sound of screeching but Levi being to wrapped up with the anxieties in his hand was def to the sound. “Did you hear that?” Erwin said turning his attention to the window. Levi perked up shaking his head. “No. What was it?” 

Erwin took to his feet, pushing his desk chair out from behind him. “It sounded like... a...” His voice trailed off as he turned around his eyes meeting the commotion that was going on in the far left side of the window, just out of Levi’s line of sight. A small smile formed on his face ‘This again?’ As a commander he should have been concerned about someone that was so volatile but he found it endearing in an odd way. It was refreshing to see someone with fight in their eyes. It drove Levi to his wits end but t was good for him. It took his mind off of the more serious things going on.. if only for a minute. 

 “....Scream” Levi thinned his eyes trying to read the Commander's reaction until the blonde pointed behind him. Levi turned around just as you brought your knee cap into Gunter’s groin, the poor man’s face twisted in agony as yours was snarling your eyes lit up like fire. “Son of a bitch” Levi cussed setting his tea cup harshly down on the windowsill stomping out of the room. ‘Can’t she ever give me a fucking break’ he thought making his way through the hallways of HQ and out the door. The cool evening air breathed pleasantly against his cheeks. In a different scenario he might have slowed his pace and basked in the feeling. Had his chest not be on the verge collapsing, his head not about to blow up with the pressure of his rage. “Oi! Shithead!” Levi yelled. Petra, Olou and Eld who had all been grinned before immediately wiped the smiles off of their faces. “Oh shit” Eld whispered sensing the storm coming. “Come on guys cut it out Petra yelled to the two of you, her eyes nervously flicking to the Captain who was hauling ass towards them. 

The two of you paid the commotion no mind. It was to late. You were in it. Knocking Gunter onto the ground you went to punch him in the face, again, but found Gunter’s fist beating you to the punch (I know, I hate myself) knocking you head violently back. Had the adrenaline not been coursing through your veins like nitrus you may have noticed the unconformable pain that radiated from your face or the blood that absolutely GUSHED from your nose and into your mouth. “Is that all you got?” you yelled landing a left hook into his jaw. He grunted flipping you onto your back about to straddle your significantly smaller body with his legs until you felt his weight ripped off of you. Levi towered above you his normally grey eyes seeming to turn metallic in the moon light. Easily he threw Gunter to the side eyeing everyone around him. You stared at him in awe.  

“You all have five seconds to explain. All of you. Now” Silence permeated the night air until Petra stammered forward. “It was just a prank Captain and she just started to freak out.” Your awe induced trance was broken by her words. “A prank?!” you exclaimed rocketing up from where you were laying on the ground readying yourself to launch at the blond before you felt Levi’s arm bar across your chest. “Knock it off.” he seethed. You flinched at his tone, a pink hue taking over your cheeks. So much for making his life easier. He looks like he on the verge of having a heart attack. “All of you go to your room. F/N you finish packing everyone’s stuff.” 

All of your comrades smiled to themselves eyeing one another happily. Whatever they had planned evidently coming to fruition. You body began to tremble and you felt tears forming in your eyes. “What the hell!” you yelled pushing the captain off of you. A bold move on your part. Had another cadet done that he would have laid them out flat no problem but he didn’t get physical with you like he did the others. “You always take their side! It’s bullshit! They just trying to piss me off to get me in- ah fuck it have fun packing your own shit because I’m not doing it!” You began to walk away ignoring the feeling of Levi’s eyes burning a hole into the back of your head as unexpected tears fell down your face. Roughly Levi grabbed your wrist yanking you to his side, you flinched expecting to be thrown to the ground. Instead you felt his thin finger tips intertwine themselves in your hair. “What the hell is this shit?” he seethed picking it out of your hair. Gunter cleared his throat. “It’s, uh, percicely that Captain” 

Levi exhaled forcefully through his mouth. “Everybody inside now. I will be thinking of punishments for all of you later so please don’t think you are off the hook.” 

“Yes sir” you all said saluting him. You began to walk in the direction of your comrades formulation some sort of plan to punch Petra in the mouth until Levi tugged on your wrist again. “Yes Captain”  you said keeping your head low. 

His eyes softened, maybe he had been rather rough with you. “Come on let’s get this shit off of you. You smell awful” You nodded sadly following him as he led you through the soft grass and back into the building. Your eyes took a minute to adjust to the warm candle light that glowed along the hallway, the light feeling like an assault on your eyes compared to the soft darkness outside. You cocked your head not realizing how dark it had been outside until now. ‘What time is it’ you thought looking around hoping it wasn’t to late. 

Letting the thought brush out of your thoughts you followed the Captain his grasp never leaving your wrist, which you found strange but didn’t bring any attention to it. Walking down the hallway you prepared yourself to stop at the shared Cadet bathroom until he kept walking. “Captain?” you said softly, eyeing him suspiciously. Was this some sort of trick? “Hm” he grunted continuing to walk without breaking his pace. “Where are we going?” 

“To my room. I don’t want you to wake everybody up” 

“Oh”

You felt your cheeks turn pink as he stopped in front of his door pushing it open coolly like he wasn’t affected by the situation. He was a notorious clean freak and you really did not want to be the one to get horse shit all over his bathroom, which you imagined to be pristine. 

...

You stood awkwardly not completely sure what to do with your arms. They felt clunky and odd wherever you placed them on your body. It was a very unfortunate dilemma and  you thought that it may be more convenient to say f it and chop them both off. “Y/N” Levi said having suddenly appearing in front of you his eyes sagging tiredly. “Take your uniform off and put this on. “ You blushed deeply taking it out of his hands. “Yes sir. Thank you” you said shyly. He ushered you to step into his room. You complied brushing by him. “Let me know when you’ve changed” He said before closing the door. ‘

Quickly you took off all of your clothes, (opting to leave your underwear on )and bindings off and slipped the smooth fabric over your head positioning it comfortably on your body. You looked down noticing the shirt was rather short of you the lower half of your ass being in plain sight. ‘Oh great’ you sighed knocking on the door. “I’m changed” you said. Immediately he stepped into the room being caught up on your sight. He thought that maybe if he gave you a tattered shirt the sight of you in his clothes wouldn’t bother him but he couldn’t believe how wrong he was. His eyes slightly widened at his sight, his heart beginning to cage in his chest. “Hm” he cleared his throat forcing himself to walk away from you. “Come on. I’ll help you wash your hair.”” 

You nodded trailing behind him folding your hands neatly in front of you. Just as you had expected his bathroom was spotless and smelled oddly nice. You wondered if he used different cleaner on his tiles then the cadets got. It was almost like lemons but a but more diluted. “Lean over the tub okay?” He said beginning to roll up his sleeves. You walked a few paces forward and bent to your knees sending a hesitant look his way before leaning your head into the white porcelain. He kept his eyes off of you and turned on the water, adjusting it so it wouldn’t burn your scalp. Gently he dumped the water onto your head pulling a brush through your hair. It glide through the strands surprisingly smooth considering all the blood and shit you had caked in it. You hummed at the heat feeling goosebumps spread across your skin in response to the warmth. He smiled to himself repeating the motions until your hair was clean. Gingerly he wrapped your hair in a towel and helped you sit up. Once you fly sat up your eyes connected to his and his noticed a bit of purple forming on you cheek bone. He eyes softened “I will run the bath so you can clean the rest of your wounds. I-if you want” 

Silently you studied his face before nodding “Yes sir” 

“You can just call me Levi Y/N” he said spotting a bit of blood that was still on your face. He stood up and grabbed a wash cloth off of the counter top wetting it in the sink before rubbing the blood roughly off of your cheek. You scrunched your face at the uncomfortable rubbing at your face but you didn’t complain. Now that he thought of it you never really did. 

“What was it blood?” you questioned cutely going crossed eyed in attempt to look down at your own face. He nodded suppressing a smile while tossing the wash cloth in the laundry basket adjacent to him in his bedroom. “Yes. I will leave so you can get in now okay cadet?” he said feeling the weight of the situation weighing down on him. What was he doing? “Okay” you smiled sweetly hoping to your feet. 

His eyes lingered on you for a moment before he painstakingly exited the room. Once the door was closed and he knew hen was out of sight he let out an exasperated sigh. ‘What the hell am I doing?’ he thought hearing the shirt of his you were wearing and the sound of your body entering into the water. His heart began to hammer in his chest. He had always been fond of you yes, but he never intended on getting closer to yo having been perfectly content with the glances he got of you every now and then as well as the short day dreams he had of you while writing reports or reading. He had been perfectly satisfied so why was he doing this now? 

“Captain?” he heard you say from behind the door.  Shocked and embarrassed he walked quietly away from the door and out of his room all to circle back this time stomping his boots particularly loud to make it seem as if he hadn’t been creeping outside. “Yes Y/N?” he said dreading your question. “Came I have another washcloth?”
