by the time you all got to his house, you all were exhausted, especially after having to deal with fans who have no concept of privacy. but johnny was filled to brim with excitement and that was honestly the only thing that mattered to you.

johnny was the first one off the bus as it pulled up to his house, sprinting towards the house. you can't help the feeling of unmatched fondness as you see him pick up his mom in a hug, spinning her around, her laugh ringing out, pure joy radiating from both of them.

once he lets his mom down, he turns to his dad, both adorning huge grins, and johnny's dad pulls him into a hug, slapping his back (as dads do) and whispering something along the lines of "we missed you, son," before he lets him go.

the next few minutes is a flutter of all the other boys hugging mr. and mrs. suh, the parents accepting them all into their home as if they're their own kids (and they might as well be, johnny's made brothers out of them all at this point), and, finally, it's your turn.

you had managed to migrate closer to johnny while the other boys got their chance to meet the parents, and he squeezed your hand, leaning down, "they're gonna love you, don't worry," he whispers, kissing your cheek.

as you walk up to johnny's mom, her eyes light up, and, though you were expecting a handshake, she pulls you into a hug, "it's so nice to finally meet the person who's been making my johnny so happy," she says. "it's so nice to finally meet the woman who gave birth to such an amazing man," you say in response, and there's love that runs so deep within both of you for him that it's enough to take your breath away.

once johnny's mom let's you go, you move on to his dad, and he's quiet but you can tell how much he cares about johnny and how happy he is to finally be able to meet the person he'd heard his son talk about for quite some time.

when you started dating taeyong, you knew it wasn't gonna be easy, with his busy schedule demanding that he be away from you whenever he's promoting or touring.

however, sometimes it gets to be too much, your body aching with the need to just be with him. it's times like this when it's hard to function at all, much less to sleep.

you blindly pat around your bed for your phone, immediately dialing his number as soon as you could.

while it rung, anxiety riddled your body, hoping it wasn't too late where he was, hoping that you wouldn't be waking him up from his sleep.

however, as soon as he picks up the phone, all of the anxiety floods your body, pure relief taking it's place after hearing his voice for the first time in what felt like forever. (it had only been a couple of hours, but it felt like lifetimes).

"hey angel," taeyong says, his voice awake. he must've been practicing. "what's up? it's late there, why aren't you sleeping?" you hear the frown in his voice.

"i just miss you so much," you say quietly, trying not to let it show how close you are to crying. "oh sweetheart," he sighs out, "i miss you too, more than you know."

"can you sing me to sleep?" you ask in a small voice, a little bit embarrassed, but you knew there was no reason to be. taeyong made you feel safe, and he made sure you knew that he was okay with you asking for things from him.

he sings for you, until he can hear your little snores on the other side of the phone, and he smiles to himself. "i love you, sweetheart," he says quietly to make sure not to wake you.

johnny picks up on the other side, "hello?" he says. you can tell by his voice that he was also awake. "do you mind if we go driving?" you ask suddenly, simply wanting to run away with him, feeling more at home with him in his car than you ever felt anywhere else.

"yeah, baby," he says, "i'll meet you at our usual place."

you, living pretty close to the edge of town, walk to about a half mile past the town line. he's already there when you arrive, and you two take off.

no questions are asked, but the windows are rolled all the way down and almost on instinct, your hand finds johnny's, with the other out the window.

in moments like this, long ago you had both agreed to just go no phone, choosing instead to be in the moment with each other and no one else.

after a while of driving, you turn to johnny, taking advantage of his focus on the road, staring at him for a moment. no one makes you feel quite as burdenless and wonderful as he does.
