So i do lots of different spells w tarot cards and i need to write these down here so yeah, i’ll link this to my grimoir as i go! This one is a love spell and I love to pair those with symbolism besides the actual tarot cards so yeah

What you need:

* A tarot deck (oh no sherlock)

* Red rose or vanilla incense (good for setting the mood)

* 3 charged stones (one for each card) according to your intent (I’d recomend using Rose Quartz for love spells, but if you don’t, a charged + full of intent clear quartz will do) - I like to charge my stones under the full moon and all that

* A nice red or pink candle (you can dress it in sacred oil or even draw some sigils in it, if you want)

Instructions:

A lil tip before you start: I’d recommend doing this spell at a Friday since it’s a great day for love and beauty spells but that’s just my preference.

Start by casting a circle then lighting your candle and your incense. Let the mood sink in and shuffle your deck, sending your intent to each card before you select the following ones:

- The Lovers: this one is more for the harmony and union meaning so we’ll draw this symbolism into play. This card means a bond - a perfect, strong bond between two souls that are attracted to each other.

- Ten of Cups: this card usually depicts a happy couple so it’s almost self explanatory but we’ll delve in the fact it is a happy, loving card. It usually goes for marriages, even, but I like to broaden it for happy relationships, no matter what. It’s great to be paired with the lovers because of that.

- The King of Pentacles: the aspect we will draw from this card is the one about security and abundance - you finally reached the love of your life and it’s good, you’re done fighting, it’s chill. You worked hard and it paid off in the end so it’s a closure.

Lay these cards in front of you and rub your stones together for a while so let all that energy out and lay a stone over each card. Meditate about the meaning of each card and make a silent wish, you can even say an incantation.

I am not good at these (i suck at rhyming) so I just send my energy around, usually moving my hands over the lit candle and incense then over the cards and stay there until at least all of the incense has burned out, but I like to see all the candle burn out too.

Who is Hades?

Hades is the god of the dead, and the king of the Underworld. He is the eldest child of the titans, Cronus and Rhea. Hades received the Underworld after his brothers claimed the rulership of the cosmos and left the Underworld for Hades.

His job is to maintain balance and rule the Underworld. He is known to be understanding and just, with a stern fist. He rarely, if ever, leaves the Underworld. The name Hades originally meant ‘the unseen one’.

If you don’t have any energy to leave your bed or can’t leave your bed due to medical reasons a simple daily prayer goes a long way. You can talk to Hades about something you need guidance on or just how your feeling in general.

Auto-write! Maybe sit up with a pencil and see if Hades will take the wheel and write a message out to you. This is a way lots of people communicate with their deities.

Loving yourself! Hades is all about helping with guilt and the negative thoughts in your brain. Giving yourself a compliment or a pat on the back can be a way to show devotion.

What are some Broomstick Closeted ways to worship?

Instead of an altar you can simply have an item of two on yourself that remind you of Hades, like a coin or rock.

If you have tumblr, you could always made an altar online! Many do this, and Hades definitely does not mind if you do it too.

Simply buying any food that may be special to you, and throwing it out after offering it.

“sweet! i like it,” my darling decreed when i applied this. when wet, it is rather fruity, a juicy (but not candyish) blackberry concoction that is equal parts aromatic, sweet and tart, but almost at once you can sense a certain debauched quality, a black-velvet texture in the scent. this dark musk brings to my mind erotic and bohemian associations, and yet there is something of a vintage attitude to it too: it smells sweet, soft and mostly warm, although i notice an edge of almost mentholated iciness that i think comes from the mingling of fruit and musk. good old-fashioned depravity. 

the tea notes are there, subtly keeping the bouquet from going stale with their characteristic cleanliness. i think i may be detecting patchouli, or it could be just the illusion of it created by the mingling of these ingredients. either way, blackberry noir is as bohemian (read: treading dangerously close to hippie territory, my dreaded nemesis) a fragrance as i can wear while still enjoying it, and it will never be a daily-wear favourite, but it is just the thing for when you are in the mood to feel like a 1910s exotic dancer starlet.
