He waves her over before Neil can look at the thing, knowing that he’s a nice guy and all, but not nice enough to give alcohol to a minor. No matter how she might try to sweet talk him. Teenagers, right? Though why a teenager is coming to a dive like this instead of just hitting up the liquor store– Fuck it. Not his business anyway.
But Robert’s feeling generous tonight (or it’s the whiskey) and he gestures to the booth seat across from him.
“First drink’s on me. Don’t tell your dad. You ever had whiskey?”
On second thought, maybe that’s a bit too strong for a girl her age. Maybe Neil’s got some good wine on that dusty rack.

nothing but apparently lots of single dads & children . & lots of dogs too , thankfully . it should’ve been obvious that trying to get a fake ID wasn’t worth all the trouble she went trying to get it —- & yet , here she was ; at the sleaziest barr ( the only bar , really . ) she’s ever seen .
all in all , the mission was a success !
