I’m sharing.. How to reuse ♻️ recycle what you got into doing something else entirely. I turned these bottles into self-watering stations. Materials: - I used a clean Laneige Cream Skin bottle and a May Coop Raw Sauce bottle. I even thought of using drink glass bottles like Izzy but I thought of that afterwards. Later for other plants. - About 2 feet of twine string (add more strings if theres more than one plant to water. - Fruit forks/stakes or whatever you can attach one end of the string to the stick into the soil. - A pebble that’ll fit through the bottle’s neck and with a bit of weight to keep the string in the water. - A top/cap to keep the gnats out (or leave the top open entirely) you can put a whole in the cap if it doesn’t already have one either with a screwdriver or a drill or whatever you have that works. Mines came with the bottle’s dispensing method or I found it from other bottles. I can’t remember. - A strong looper (mines is actually a flossing tool for tooth braces and bridges) convenience. Steps: 1. Tie one end of the strings to the pebble and then drop it into the bottle. 2. Fill the bottle with water but make sure the other end of the string is still hanging out. 3. Loop the dry end through the cap of the bottle if you’re using a cap with the looper. 4. Now cap the bottle but let a few inches hang out so you can pull the string out for more length. 5. Knot the end of the hanging string and attach it to the stake or fork. 6. Position the water bottle between and or next to the plants and stick the stake/fork into the soil. Tip: The string shouldn’t be too loose but that didn’t occur to me until I added more strings for other plants. I think if it hung too loose past the edge of the plant it’ll defeat the purpose of using gravity to pull water from the water over and “down” to the plant. For one plant over night in the May Coop bottle the plant drank about 1/2 an inch of water. This could be different per person depending on the materials used and the different ways this was set up. #repurposing #reusing #wateringmethods #selfwatering # selfwateringplants #cosmeticbottleuses #Laneige #MayCoop https://www.instagram.com/p/CGdiQAfpH6Y/?igshid=16fwon14og0w0

“I saw the killer whale passing so close to me, I could reach out and touch it if I dared. Again, I had the eerie sense that it was looking at me. There was something very strange looking about its eye that I couldn’t quite comprehend in the state I was in. I returned the gaze, trying to look deep into its eye. It was a blip of a reaction, but I swear it happened. Was it possible the killer whale recognized me? Had it been looking for me? Was it trying to contact me? Maybe on behalf of the mermaids?
"I heard my mother screaming behind me and my dad trying to shush her. I dared to peek behind me and saw the three of them in the boat, my mom with her hands over her mouth, terrified for me. That whale could flip and bite me in half in an instant, and she knew it. Yet, I didn’t feel afraid for that reason. I didn’t fear the killer whale had come to kill me. It came to fetch me. At least that’s what I thought.” - from Echo of the Cliffs, A Juniper Sawfeather Novel 3

Lost in thought today
Reminiscing the good'o days and wondering why some paths were taken as others are looked upon in the corner of my eye, at the end edge of my mind and hanging by that invisible thread.. I've thought and entertained the idea that friends come and go. Some stay for a while. Some make impacts in my life by leaving memorable foot prints. But as the tide comes in and washes some away and carries them as messages in a bottle where years later I'd read and live through that memory once again. Others stays, although buried deep in the sand, sometimes they pop right back in my life and we make new castles in the sand.

Books to movie/show is a love/hate relationship. I've honestly only read a few books to movies. And many if not all have been twisted from the original story. Apparently the audiences, especially the very critical reviewers who either read the book and is truly a fan or the ones who haven't and they're very opinionated to drop their two cents. All these adaptions are over done, with the full drama effect and way too much sex. I too don't like change. I too am PO when someone drops a character, leave them missing in book one movie but that character plays a good part in a few other books following, how will they bundle her in now?! Those who've read book one n seen the movie knows exactly who I'm referring to. I'm the type who will watch the movie/show n constantly compare it to the book. I dont know what's bigger and more important, the book fan base or the newer audiences who've only heard it from someone else. I'm not optimistic enough that the story will stay true but I'm not pessimistic either to dismiss a chance for a good screen. Honestly, some books will never capture the book exactly because what makes the story is the author's way of writing the feelings and words portray so much the actors and actresses can't copy no matter how talented. For instance, (not a line from the book) "I saw it in his eyes, but then it was gone in a second." So much is described from a mental POV that a screen can never show correctly. I'm a huge fan of the book and I'll read and listen to it over n over n over again. I too feel offended when a really good book is adapted poorly or is dismissed as just another story. 😥

Book Review: Cry of the Sea by D.G. Driver
Book Review: Cry of the Sea by D.G. Driver This is another fabulous read by Ms. D.G. Driver! If I was ever told that my parents raised me to be exactly like them, I'd freak too! Being a senior and a loser with only one other friend who happens to be your neighbor and every thing bad that linked you, contaminated her too was pure bad luck. But as luck may have it, June finds the adventure and friends for life. With two famous parents of the Indian American culture, Mother Nature is at the top of the totem pole. She's wonderful, great and if anything threatens her and her Nature, the Sawfeather family members are there. June's dad is major environmental activist and her mother is a lawyer for the environment going after big companies and anyone who threatens illegally and inhumanely. Although she's lived a whole 17 years under their lifestyle, it's hard to deny June wants something similar but not exact. Not until she meets Carter. He's a freshman in college and a hunk who doesn't care if she's stinky from dead animals or covered in dirt and sand from the ocean. He sees the pure heart of someone who cares about the world, about their one Mermaid. Going through self realization of who you wanna be, who didn't you want to be, who's your friend and why your reputation and popularity isn't up to par, she finds herself and finally together with her bff/neighbor that being who they thought they wanted to be isn't all that. What's important is rescuing June and Carter's friend the mermaid. The mermaid wasn't described as legends have painted them to be seem as but they were as lovely and can communicate. I do wonder... Is there more to June than what she knows? How is that she can communicate with the mermaid? Is there a sequel where we find out June is a mermaid too? But then they don't really look all human like Ariel I The Little Mermaid. Will June ever get to meet her mermaid friend again? Were the legends true of the mermaids and the killer whales and is there any magic involved? Can they transform? Why are they surfacing when crisis like oil spills occur but not swim deeper out into the sea? Is there a short story on the history and story of the mermaids and why they're surfacing or a personal story of the legends? Hearing when a mermaid dies is the saddest part of the story. But knowing this story is so much more.. heritage, high school and popularity drama, finding yourself, knowing who your friends are at the most important moments of your life, caring for the environment and bringing awareness about oil spills and large companies and how they can also corrupt the system and use false lies and hopes to cover up, finding love in the least likely places of all and knowing your parents support your every decision no matter how many mistakes, mishaps or what you choose and they are with you all the way even though the steps there could be bumpy. And enjoyable fresh read!
