I fully believe Taylor and Ace were mutually crushing on each other but never got to actually admit that to each other before Taylor's death.
ok the crowd has spoken and no one cares abt yellowjackets anymore đđđ jk but anyway the people yearn for the pitt. which of the aforementioned barely started pitt fics do you want fawn to actually write::
wip wars: pitt edition
frank langdon x robinavitch!reader
jack abbot x ex-military!reader (second chance romance)
trinity santos x firefighter!reader
jack abbot x animal care!reader (could be animal rescue owner, vet!reader, etc.)

let em know
here me out outer wilds au except everythingâs terrifying and horrible
like a post-apocalypse au
itâd be good character development
the hatchling would learn to be more cautious (feldspar too)
gabbro would learn they canât just pretend nothingâs happening all the time
riebeck would learn to be more reckless
chert would learn that they canât just stay in the refuge of their camp
esker would learn to fend for themself on the attlerock
gossan and slate would put aside their differences for everyoneâs safety
theyâd all learn that they canât just take it slow and easy, they need to stay on their feet and watch for predators, theyâd need to watch for any dark bramble seeds, theyâd need to build more ships to migrate to giantâs deep, the only safe-ish planet, theyâd need to watch each otherâs backs, there would be no room for loss, because if one supporting link broke, the whole chain goes with them.
Stole this from my school doodle notebook. Extra:

Lowkey forgot this account existed lmao, it feels like my own little hole of the internet
I've been thinking about this post you linked me https://www.tumblr.com/iwillmissourtalks/777078336524566528/she-absolutely-has-also-just-in-general-i-dont which raises the possibility of memory fuckery being a thing, which somehow I had never associated to Mel's stay at the Occulorum yet but now I can totally see. It reminded me of one thing, cuz I finished Arcane a little ago so I was not active during live discussion of the eps, but recently I checked on some old reddit/forum threads and was a little baffled my interpretation had been so different, re: the last episode. Somehow to me it was a given that Ambessa had not been aware (or fully aware) that it was Leblanc who delivered the final blow, as I see it, due to shock + magic reasons. However most interpretations paint it as "Mel teaming up with the BR to kill Ambessa". There's too much to unpack in both halves of that sentence which isnt even related to your post lol but I wonder, do you connect that last ep scene to the kind of memory erasure LB might've used before? (asking here to not pile onto the conversation, sorry I can't change accs)
Ooo interesting.
Yeah, LeBlanc is definitely pulling something out of Ambessaâs head but I donât think itâs memories. Itâs a bit late for that, but it does reinforce the idea she has some magical dominion over the mind.
I personally think this is just a particularly painful/intimate way to kill her. Ambessa has done enough to earn LeBlancâs attention and thus her death will acknowledge that etc etc
As for âMel teaming up with the black rose to kill AmbessaââŚ..I think Mel called upon the Black Rose as a last resort to defeat Ambessa certainly. She was losing the fight and calling LeBlanc with the necklace objectively saved Caitlynâs life.
That said, I donât think Mel ever intended to kill her mother. She calls LeBlanc, then immediately chases her into whatever pocket dimension was conjured in an attempt to take Ambessa back. And she succeeds! She just doesnât do it fast enough for her mom to make it out alive.
Capitano finding you in tears, quietly sitting down beside you and taking off his helmet. Hand hovering awkwardly while he hesitates before eventually placing it atop your shoulder in a gesture meant to be comforting. Doesn't pry for a while, simply lets you cry and feel that he's there, giving you the chance to open up in your own time. Voice so carefully soft when he asks what's troubling you, not at all expecting the almost exasperated tearful chuckle leaving your lips. Looking on while you wipe your eyes, his composure cracking when you sheepishly look down at your hands and tell him that you were crying because he's always so kind and listens to the troubles of everyone... and you can't help but wonder who he can bare his heart to and find release from sharing the burdens you're certain a man of his rank must carry..
