i guess a part of me just wants to throw this out into the ether; not really sure if the intent is for someone to witness it or not, but definitely just for me to get it off my chest
idk what am i doing wrong that makes people distance themselves from me? and yet have the audacity to call me their friend? and as a friend, whatever “shitty behaviour” i’ve done, i’m sorry.
i just didn’t think that being extroverted warranted you to not want to work with me. idk why this is bothering me so much but it does. i think a part of it reminds me of how back in high school, my depression first triggered when my so-called friends threw me under the bus and i was totally blindsided by it. i was told i deserve to be left alone. i was told i deserved to be ganged up on. why? because i had annoying mannerisms? it wasn’t even disrespectful, just annoying. i get it, call me out. but isn’t there a way to be call someone out respectfully? without making a person feel like they’re of no value?
i guess where i’m just coming from is that i’m all for personal growth and development. i believe that “calling someone out” is a reaffirmation of your humanity in them because you believe they have the capacity to change. but “calling someone out” also has to be done where human respect and dignity is maintained, especially when the one being called out hasn’t done anything disrespectful in the first place.
idk sometimes i just question how toxic of a person i really am if people are distancing themselves from me like this.
