Mona was assaulted by a dog, and Bill was the enabler in that very situation. An event such as this permanently shifts a child’s mind and traumatizes them for life. COCSA affects both the victims and the perpetrator.

So to see Bill later on become a human dog and a slave to Mona is incredibly interesting. And when we take to consideration the BDSM aspect of their relationship, and the power dynamic that comes with it becomes even better. Personally i like to see it as Mona reclaiming power and agency that was taken away from her in her adolescent years, aswell as setting dominance over the person that caused her so much suffering.

Weither it was her, or his choice to become THE animal that caused Mona so much pain is a great writing choice.
