I really appreciate Aly Raisman, Dominique Moceanu, Kathy Johnson, and Vanessa Atler for how outspoken they’ve been in support of abuse victims.

When I first saw their routines I expected Thais to come out on top but after rewatching and looking at the D and E breakdown I’m fine with the outcome. Thais may have been scored a little harshly but not enough that she deserved bronze IMO.

Fidelis needed to trust her tumbling. Her lack of aggressive confidence on the tumbling is what ultimately took her out of the running. When I saw that 1.5 stepout I really thought she had thrown it all away at the very start and somehow she managed to rescue it, but she didn’t own part of her routine. She competed very gingerly. Fragapane made sure after that first mistake to leave no room for error. She went out there and made the rest of those tumbling lines her bitch and the judges rewarded her for it.
