SunaOsa are the type of couple that don't realise they're in love with each other and already dating until it's blatantly obvious to everyone else (and I do wanna write this in a fic but don't have the strength rn so have this instead - also I'm sure this has been done before lol)
Suna and Osamu become best friends almost immediately because they both enjoy teasing and pranking Atsumu
They're always physically close because Suna likes to share funny videos or his music with Osamu, who is always interested
Osamu always shares his food with Suna (they don't realise how big of a deal that is until Atsumu points it out one day when Osamu refuses to let him have a bite of his lunch)
Since Suna and Osamu are used to being physically close to one another, they don't mind sharing a bed/futon
They always pair off together, not even on purpose, it's just easier because they know the other person so well (regardless if it's for practice or school work)
Suna stays over at the Miya's house regularly enough that Mama-Miya calls him "her third son" (he's always welcome and Osamu and Atsumu claim he's their mothers favourite)
Osamu and Suna are somehow always touching, whether it's knees, feet, hands or shoulders
It's become second nature to the point they don't bat an eye when one of them uses the other as some sort of pillow (it doesn't even matter if that's in public or not because they really don't care)
Atsumu teases them relentlessly about their closeness and calls them gay more often than not which Suna and Osamu love to play into because it riles Atsumu up some more
Osamu and Suna are really stable in their relationship with each other that they don't care that there are rumours spreading throughout school about them dating
The rumours get so big that some of their more confident peers address it to them in person
Neither denies nor confirms anything, instead they give vague but true statements ("Suna? He's my best friend, of course I like him" - "Samu is my favourite Miya, he makes the best onigiri.") and it drives everyone insane
Their volleyball team gets involved at some point too because really there's no way the rumours don't make it to them and they start paying more attention to SunaOsa during breaks
Ginjima is the first to mention the rumour to them and Suna and Osamu only shrug as an answer
When they hangout alone, they always lay on top of each other because it's comfortable and convenient to them, since they're always looking at the same stuff anyway
During one of those hangouts they watch a video of some couple reacting to cringey couple content and there's a scene which the reacting couple laughs at before reenacting it and it makes SunaOsa snort simultaneously and they both immediately have the same idea to reenact the scene as well and that's how their first kiss goes
It's not awkward after because they've been so physically close, kissing just feels natural
Nothing really changes, besides the fact they steal kisses more often now
Suna may be laying against Osamu's side and if he's not getting his attention, he'll plant kisses to Osamu's cheeks and neck
It goes the other way around too
Kissing isn't something they do in public until Suna slips up one time after practice when Osamu is fighting with Atsumu again and getting angry and Suna strolls up to him, throws his arm over Osamu's shoulder and presses a quick kiss to his cheek, telling him not to jump at Atsumu's bait so much
Everyone is out of their mind when this happens and they get bombarded with questions or congratulations
That's the moment they come to the realisation that they have practically been dating all along
Atsumu absolutely loses his mind over them, he's furious
Osamu and Suna have a moment amongst the chaos where they're looking at each other like "are we making this official?" And then agree with each other with a shrug of their shoulders
They seal the deal with a kiss and a "yeah, guess we are dating" and then leave everyone to grab some food
Atsumu doesn't talk to them for almost a week because he doesn't buy that they truly weren't dating before and believes they've been pranking Atsumu and friends
Osamu and Suna do have a proper talk with Atsumu about how they did, in fact, not know they were dating, that all these things just felt right with each other and Atsumu calls them the biggest idiots on the planet
He forgives them after that, saying he's not as dumb as them, he'd know when he's dating someone (Suna has a great memory and uses this against Atsumu when he joins the MSBY and starts getting very close to Sakusa but claims that they're just "really good friends")
