so @adreamingsongbird and i were discussing how Utterly Awful it would be if like. okay so many elves channel their power through singing, but maglor does that like Really Well, so what if he sang songs like in battle? and his power was able to just… slow the enemies down, inspire fear into them, etc? and then we decided that like he probably discovered this by accident in alqualondë, because what if he just started singing to himself as comfort except suddenly it’s not comforting anymore because it’s a weapon? 

so anyways. maglor standing in the blood-soaked waters of alqualondë, singing songs of battle and death
