Lost Sun

[Environment and journey concepts + battle scene] The game is similar to Darkest Dungeon and RPGs with encounters happening between a start point and a goal point: Journeys You protect the sun orb from monsters by fending them off and keeping them at a distance, until you reach another town on your cycle.

The main idea of Lost Sun started back in 2019 when I drew this concept and a tiny story snippet. At the time, I posted this on twitter. Text in image: "Ever since the war of gods, where they destroyed the sun and it fell to earth in pieces, our world has been engulfed in darkness and life has evolved and dulled. In this cold world we are The Dawn. We are the ones who carry the sun to uphold life. But I can't stop thinking there must be another way."

I developed a world and some characters based on this with the intention of making a comic story called The Dawn. But then other projects took priority. Then, when me and F wanted to test our skills in a game jam, having a premade idea kicked us off really well, and we've taken it into a different but also really interesting direction !
