you had just fallen asleep, head slumped on the table, opened to a random page of your workbook that you were pretending to understand as it was being explained to you.
you weren’t alone though. These study sessions were something initially set up by the school, but katsuki had enjoyed them — well you — too much to let them end.
which is why you were sitting here, still as third years, studying for exams neither of you really cared about.
because you refused to make the move, katsuki was too chicken, and you both needed an excuse to hang out.
he said nothing as he watched you sleep. his face flushing slightly as he focused in on your glossed lips smushed against the side of the table. he waited until he was sure you were actually, deeply asleep, before he anxiously took a deep breath and scooted a little closer to you.
“i. i've really been enjoying this time with you and.. um. fuck.” he ran a hand through his hair.
this was his fifth time practicing. after a year of trying to ask you out, he swears the fifth time is the charm.
as he runs through his planned speech once again, he doesn’t notice you stirring slightly. If he wasn’t so preoccupied, maybe he’d even notice the slight smile on your lips.
yet all his practice goes out the window when he looks into your eyes. he feels his mind stutter to a slow stop. everything had gone perfect so far, the bouquet of flowers he picked up that morning, the cologne with scent notes he thought you’d like, a small cake with an instagram worthy color palette.
even the weather had magically cleared up for his picnic confession. he didn’t expect that he was the factor he didn’t account for.
he realized how long he’d been quiet with the small tilt of your head and the feeling of your finger gently poking his cheek, “you still here with us?”
in that moment, with blossoms cascading unto the two of you, wind blowing through your hair and a slight upturn to your smile, all he thought about was how beautiful you were.
“please go out with me.”

katsuki had just made it home at about three in the morning. he cursed at the loud stomps of his boots against the linen floors of your shared apartment, careful to take small steps so as to not wake you up.
he changed into his pajamas as quietly as he could, locked in on the sight of you hogging the blanket in the middle of the bed. but, before slipping in to get some much deserved rest, he instead knelt beside your side of the bed, holding the ring he’d picked out for you in hand.
getting through his major deja vu, he managed a few lines, or concepts, to say to you. He had been bouncing between ideas, getting straight to the point or having a whole speech prepared. he face-palmed, the sweat of his hands soaking the box slightly, causing him to panic.

yes yes i think bakugou is an indie twitch streamer … who goes by dynamight… and plays a lot of horror or story-based games. poppy playtime, the last of us, the walking dead games, life is strange. yess yess, he gets rage baited so easily there are so many clips of him making the wrong decision and when a character dies he just gets up from his setup n takes a lap round the room cursing lmaooo
he’s very interactive w chat but not in the parasocial way he’ll chat with them and tell them not to ask him dumb shit, easily rage baited by them too it’s so funny. “fuck off. i’m not fuckin’ 52 i’m 25.” or “stop callin’ me unc i’ll fuck your shit up so bad.” and also “okay, so. now you’re banned. how’s that.” he’s sooo funny. bakugou bans people soooo easily you’ll see them begging him on twt to be unbanned. thirty min complications of him on YouTube getting baited by his viewers.
collabs with his friends only and he’s super cute and giggly in them i think he has a really sweet giggle that his viewers loveeee so much and he shyly tells them to shut up. mario kart tournaments with kirishima and kaminari and sero which he always loses LOL
he’s always streaming in cosy clothes and hoodies so i think his community doesn’t believe he’s jacked and they make fun of him for it. bakugou one day starts streaming in his tight black tees and someone comments “holy sleeper build.” and he gets sooooo cocky about it — flexes and stuff, puffs his chest over the screen.
“didn’t wanna show off ‘cause i knew you’d all be fuckin’ thirstin’ over everything.” he’s kinda bashful and smirks slow and sexy red eyes sweeping over his twitch chat. someone donates and sends one of those vocal messages ‘show us them tiddies bitch.’ And it actually makes him laugh, like proper laugh. one of his most viral clips from his streams. handcam streams often after that lmaoo
also he hates when people backseat him during games, i think katsuki really likes decision based gaming to liked to analyse the options, big fan of immersive game play and world building/character relationships. so when people skip ahead during times when he’s trying to figure out a puzzle or something he’ll genuinely pause the game to tell people off. “shits fuckin annoying. tuned in to watch me play the game now you’re playin it for me. okay.”
the onlyyyyy time he’s ever allowed back seating is when you, a smaller streamer, join his chat and he’s playing through something — looking for a code to figure out a puzzle and you sweetly comment: “it’s in the top left!!!”
katsuki only notices because he once did a raid on your stream ages ago and thought you were adorable, playing your cosy games and showing off your tomodachi life island and ever since he’s been watching you in secret on his alt account. recognises your twitch handle by heart now.
“thanks, gorgeous.” he grins after reading your comment or listening to it if you’ve donated for him to see it. then he moves on and his chat goes CRAZY cause usually he’s strict as FUCK. people clip it sooo fast, ‘dynamight flirting with smaller streamer????’ it goes viral instantly and you get sooo much attention to your streams it makes you anxious.
you get a dm on twt from dynamight’s streamer account a few days later. “down to collab some time?” and nearly lose your mind <3

you studied healing magic, drawing out energy from the core of the planet to mend wounds and dispel illnesses. you studied anatomy and medicine like a maester, you studied herbs and rocks as your master taught you. you began travelling the world to bring relief to people. you loved your cottage, but the roads called to you.
there are no true sorcerers left, your master had said. you'll see when you know how to truly see. you'll be able to tell.
he was right, of course.
you loved the world anyway. you loved the grass under your feet and the hospitality every village showed when you helped them. you didn't need to ask for a penny from any of your patients, throughout your stay at any place, the people fed you and hosted you.
you met a hedge knight on your journey to ashford. he had blonde hair and was possibly the biggest person you'd seen in your life. he let you ride one of his horses when he heard you were headed the same way. he said he'd be joining the tourney, you said you'd tend to his injuries. that was why ashford was your destination to start with, you presumed there would be no shortage of blood and pain.
the hedge knight's name was dunk, he had just been dubbed a knight by his late master.
