in a world full of dragons and witches

I bit an apple covered with poison
A poison that filled my heart
And blinded my eyes
I fell in love with an ogre, disguised as a prince
That promised me a whole lot of better things

For someone who was so unreal
I made a decision that made you cry and bleed

The spell was broken and I saw what was real
An ogre still controlled by a witch
But unlike any fairytale, our story was unique
It was too late when the spell was lifted

I tried to run after you, convince you to come back
But you were too hurt, too wounded

And how I wish I had a magic carpet or a genie
To magically appear by your side

Maybe I was not the rightful princess
Maybe I was not to be your queen
You might find a rightful person
To be the princess that I'll never be

Without any spell or witch telling me to
