Oh crap, he did notice.
Much effort had been put into eliminating the stiffness limiting mobility in both body and facial muscles, optics shifting to meet with the others before a light chuckle leaves passed lips — it’s tinged with embarrassment, but shoulder rise in order to dust off any indications that throw off her character. Digits rub the nape of her neck as she offers a brief nod, words encountering a brief barrier before her voice fills the silence of the air.
"Unfortunately — yes…” Grey hues narrow in the distance, mentally calculating the possible length required to retrieve her beloved accessory. True, the depth of this body of water appeared seemingly shallow. Though, for someone who lacked knowledge in the art of swimming — anything was considered deep. Desperate times called for desperate measures; the last thing the CEO’d want was to further ruin a seemingly rough day for this man. Palms tugged off the sleeves of a sweater before it’s extended out to him.
"You…mind holding this while I try and get my ring back? It’s fine if you’re on your way back."
"...You don't have to."
He was going to take this action regardless on whether she wanted him to or not anyway, still bewildered at himself for even making the decision to go and help someone he hardly knew, perhaps it was a method to heighten his mood -- an odd thought for Akira to have, seeing as he never understood how helping others and making others happy would constitute to his own happiness, it was something he could never wrap his head around. Despite that, Akira took to removing his jacket, no hesitation nor were any questions asked as he held out the jacket for the woman to take, even though having made the solid decision, he wanted to get this over and done with. He ignores her request. "It hasn't gone too far." Akira has attempted greater obstacles, so really this was nothing but running an errand, if he really needed to put an excuse to this sudden decision, he would blame boredom. There was of course the pride of a man to consider, or perhaps society's expectations on how one should perform, though Akira never went along with such rules placed unconsciously. Before he was able to get a response, Akira had already made his way to trekking through the water, lucky that it was a clear day and the water was calm as well as clean, he shouldn't have too much trouble in finding a ring so long as it wasn't hidden by dirt or a stone or anything of the sort. It'd be tedious if so, there's no telling how far Akira's patience would go today, though the day had been relatively quiet, so luck was on the woman's side it seems. After a short while of aimlessly treading water, there shone a faint glimmer from a direction, his gaze fixating on that area much like a gun pointing to its target. One dive, and he's resurface holding a clump of soggy dirt, that of which would soon part to seep between fingers as a dirty ring would appear upon his palm. "...This is it, right?" He'd ask, returning to shore drenched but without a care, his arm outstretching towards the waiting individual.
❝ sadly true. ❞
it’s not hard for this one to quickly agree; she has seen the more cruel side of humanity, understands the feeling of being shunned, thus living in a place such as abandoned woods, but even then, she was never safe from people willing to steal her last breath. she deems to warn him yet again, concern still evident in tone and eyes, head tilting to the side ( over all, she’s uncertain how to explain the danger. )
❝ still— I don’t think it would be wise to stay here for very long. the people.. don’t exactly take kindly to wanderers. ❞
Doesn't this feel familiar.
To have wandered into an area, only to be told such words, Akira could laugh at how ironic this seemed. His expression doesn't falter, though Akira would obviously know better than to outright ignore her warning, despite such actions taken drastically in the past, he would listen, but first let curiosity take it's turn. "What's up with this place then?" Surely he hasn't wandered into another blood-infested game. Although prepared, Akira wouldn't take kindly to running into any of Japan's soldiers, one of the reasons as to why he would talk to this stranger with a thin barrier placed in between. "I don't plan on sticking here for long."
❝ it’s not exactly safe here. ❞
ruby hues are attentive to another, perhaps studying movements and intentions, concerning smile gracing rosy tiers— she knows these woods better than many, using them as a means of living here and there, understanding the threat of being in one place for too long; the consequence of another being found with her would not end well.
"--It's not exactly safe anywhere."
He'd respond in a slightly morbid tone, though really Akira should be grateful that he at least received a warning, even if it was something that he was confident he already knew -- although there are different levels of danger, it'd be most unwise for Akira to already know what to expect. He looked at the stranger with an indifferent expression, of course distant and reserved for the sake of not knowing her at all, and then there's the question of whether he could actually trust her words or not.

It’d been a presence noticed…
Though, it’d been the least bit troublesome. After all, public areas weren’t her property, nor had this male emitted some sort of ominous aura. A silent observer, dare she say — even a bit curious to such odd behaviour? Optics shifted only to graze over stern features for a brief moment before returning to the glimmering water surface. Had his feelings been reflective of her own? Whatever the story, it’d been admirable, the way he seemingly endured it in a far more composed manner.
Hands retrieve yet another smooth pebble. Methods of stress relief were certainly strange, but Fey didn’t have many options available within reach. The length of her arm stretched shortly before swinging forth, sending the pebble flying — along with the ring upon her finger…—?!
"… … …"
Another’s presence hadn’t been a factor of concern. Initially. But now — it’d just been embarrassing.
He wasn't particularly bothered...
More so, he was curious, if not a tad bit, after all there wasn't much else for him to set his gaze upon, this place was fairly quiet -- he considered it a reward for having found this particular place, Akira wasn't used to such a busy crowd of cheery faces, it seemed almost like a picture too perfect to be real -- something he often longed for, but everything that happened in his life leading up to this basically contradicts this altogether. He was left confused, for the most part, cornered to simply observing with mixed feeling on the whole meaning of what 'happiness' is. His gaze rises again when hearing yet another pebble being thrown, and of course there's no missing the slight glimmer on the pebble that was thrown this time around. An eyebrow raised slightly as he'd then further study the woman of whom had stopped, much more stiff than her previous pose, quick assumptions formed were most likely accurate, resulting in the solid opinion that was... 'she's probably having a tough day.' It seemed almost too cruel to go on ignoring her, even if there was no direct contact, he deemed it convenient to at least say something, though Akira highly doubted that his words can do so much as bring even the smallest of smiles upon features of other people, especially when considering the fact that Akira had gone out of his way to avoid people most of his life. "...Hey."
"....You lost something?" An obvious question, as it was, but judging by how far she'd thrown the pebble, it's perhaps not so much as 'impossible' to try and retrieve it.
The narrowing of eyes in his direction makes him feel a bit ill. Cannot he not go a day without bringing apparent misfortune on strangers? His gazes lowers, settling upon the ground. "…Sorry, did I offend you in some way?" he asks gently, gloved hands over one another on his chest.
"No."
The atmosphere resonating around Akira would always give off this vibe, at least to most. He gave a somewhat awkward glance down towards his feet, mimicking the individual before him, settling upon the gravel before shuffling his foot to kick at a stone. The pause was a tad too long for the usual interval, deciding to carry on his sentence a little too late. "--Sorry to make you think that."
Her upper body bends to retrieve the pebble that the tip of converse shoes had made contact with earlier. Constricted in formal attire, sporting grins to individuals that induced nausea in her core, and then vague attempts to ridicule a “young, inexperienced CEO” — it was tiring. Repetitive, she’s aware, but that’s how it is.
Optics watch as earlier’s inert pebble hops along the surface of the body of water ahead before sinking. If only she’d been granted permission to introduce that old hag to the surface of her fist, but alas… A long, prolonged hug is what she’s really craving.
Watchful eyes rested upon the same pebble...
He'd chosen a spot to sit and rest, feeling lucky that he had more of a choice in where to go here as opposed to Igura where every choice determined the safety of the individual, he felt it was somewhat a leisure for him to be sitting here right now, all previous anxieties evaporated and instead he could feel his own heartbeat at a steady pulse, a rarity to his own ears. He could tell from here alone when tracing from the directional force of the pebble and resting upon the woman's face, she was somewhat irritated, a peculiar sight when having seen so many smiles in the vast sea of strangers today. ( Though, perhaps it's not so much of a rarity to him. ) He'd watch, keeping the silence, no words he'd say would shift her gaze to anything else-- but of course he also had no reason to do anything, after all, it wasn't his problem, and so he'd remain as the silent observer.

under different circumstances nine might have despised the throngs of people that overpopulate tokyo’s streets. but as he is, under the ruse of a delivery boy with his reinforced white container in hand it’s exactly what he needs to go undetected, a face forgotten as easily as it’s seen. he strays from the masses for a second, intending to exit left and enter the building before he’s stopped by a voice. icy gaze calmly shifts to the stranger, showing no hint of surprise nor irritation, despite the sudden break of his concentration and the true feeling welling up inside his chest.
‘ —is there something i can do for you? ’
"I meant that as in... move."
His tone neither harsh nor as blunt as usual, instead did Akira talk a tad bit nervous, after all, given how Igura was in terms of the people, he couldn't spare risking a fight of any sort, having gone this far. Akira speaks with a somewhat quiet and reserved tone, a sense of inferiority mixed with politeness embedded, he was playing it safe for the most part. He'd come to notice a moment later than the other seemed to have broken out of something, or perhaps it was the lingering feeling that he had disturbed something. "--Sorry if I interrupted you."
forever m i n e.
As much as Akira would take in such words with utter confusion, he daren't deny anything that was to come from the lips of the man standing before him, no matter how much nonsensical it may sound, Akira would always figure that there was some depth of meaning, that to which he would have to try and uncover if he so wished to unravel and understand him, even if that in itself seemed too impossible. For now he would remain silent, though from his expression alone one can probably tell that, other than anger and denying such words (mostly considered the wisest of options), Akira instead would take on another journey to try and decipher, wanting to go into unknown territory and delve deeper into forbidden ground. And what's most scary about this is, he doesn't know why. All he knows is that his decision is set in stone.Rather than prolonging the silence, his curiosity would get the better of him at this point, and so he'd respond with a question of his own. "...Why?"
akira is one billion percent done with this shit
"------Hey."
There's no fault in asking for directions in this area, right? Of course Akira would have opted to holding his tongue if it were Igura, but this particular place seemed fairly calm -- if one was to compare -- but of course he wasn't unwise so to let his guard down. "Where is this?"
"--Watch it."
There's a 99% chance that Akira is not in the mood to be messing around, even if it is a slight bump to the shoulder, he couldn't help but sound hostile.

——- ❝ Maa , you don’t want to ? ❞ Gunji`s stroll soon transgressed into a long stride, soles of his boots crunching against the cracked asphalt and lengthy arms swinging those large metal claws from side to side. By now, most would have taken the Punisher`s generous offer, running like mad chickens to escape.
However , Akira remained still. ?
The deafening silence returned , nearly toe to toe with the silver haired teen. Gunji’s fingers grip at a brick wall, prongs of his weapons scraping the surface to create a drawled screech that bounced through the narrow alley, looking down through hooded bangs.
It was times like this...
That Akira would seriously regret his decisions. The boy had a habit of putting his pride before choosing what seemingly is the safer option, who knows that he could potentially lose track of Gunji by running, but to be swayed with such a threat that doesn't quite yet match up to what he's had in past encounters, Akira would choose to stand his ground, thinking it unwise to even speak -- though if he remained unresponsive, that too can cost him his life.
"Leave me alone." It's a surprise that he can even withstand such a noise, (that's if you call one covering their ears with a warped expression as withstanding), perhaps now would be a good time to make a run for it, but of course Akira opted to only taking one step back in response and going no further.
