Some people say that the monkey person midway amidst the forest had gone mad writing the most interesting story ever which just won’t ever finish. Hence the elders decided the task to be of extreme futility and to be dealt with precaution. Which might have lead to the half way arrangement with the monkeys. It was vexatiously precise, some said. Nobody amongst the monkeys knew why he was here, even he didn't seem to quite known to the circumstances around him, so he never left.

A big mountain, phallic no doubt, lay in the middle of a rather vast, for the monkeys, but a tiny, for the larger monkeys, forest. On the top was believed to be a spirit of sort. No, one cannot drink it, neither was it to be consumed in any other general way. It was geometric in nature and demanded tasks of utmost utility to present itself. The path from a hustling nearby town where they sold forest produce, nuts, fruits, local medicines and psychedelics of sorts, was a long and arduous one. Quite a lot of travellers went through the path too. They would trade figurines which became pretty popular entertainment devices in the town. Thus was the arrangement between two futile tribes doing tasks of utmost futility. These were the tasks for those uninterested in the geometric spirit. A town's dweller lived halfway in the arduous path. They dreamt of a geometric spirit which they followed across. But they were lazy, and joffed a lot. Hence they figured out a task of utmost futility with the nearby monkeys, which rejoiced in eating off of the path travellers' hands. These cute little bastards would jump around and amuse the travellers until they opened up their palms for a quick little treat.

She remembers him from many times, multiple encounters, different jobs, various versions of him. She wasn't sure now if he was him either. A tepid feeling of self loathing had forced her to conjure him up. This momentary lapse in her rather graceful, mundane, routine was what would lead to her first untimely fall. This knowledge was to be learned with the fall, and the fall was to become a part of the routine, one that calls for an expansion on the routine, the fall causes an ugly decline in the quality of the said routine.
