1% of anything is a 16 ep. korean tv series based on another kdrama with the same title that aired not long enough ago to warrant a remake which was based on a novel with the same title

rich grandpa gets rescued by an elementary school teacher, and rich grandpa decides it’s a good idea to get his asshole grandson engaged to this nice school teacher, so he rewrites his will and says grandson has to marry said school teacher to receive inheritance. asshole grandson is understandably mad, negotiates marriage down to six months of dating. somehow asshole grandson and nice school teacher start to get along and there is some cute.

it’s cute ok. there are times when asshole grandson’s actor acts like a dead fish, but cute school teacher makes up for some of that. pacing isn’t too slow, i feel like some of the drama about who asshole grandson is gonna marry doesn’t have too much merit, but it was p cute overall.

poor guy is lonely and has quit being the magicky wizard he was so good at being because of past mistakes. rich dude who had hots for poor guy (and vice versa) comes back into poor guy’s life, wants him to do some magicky stuffs. story link

hell fucking yeah this story was good. really nice how the characters’ pasts all had an effect on their present selves, but without overly lingering on the past. also magic system is hella cool and unique, i like it.

too perfect in a bad way. all the problems were solved, but they were solved by going around the problem rather than through it. lacks conflict because of this.
