Is it possible to fall in love with paint? Or a new palette? I've been trying to decide whether to get Daniel Smith tubes since last year. The price of creating a palette out of DS paints would really put a dent in someone's savings. Especially since I rarely get to paint these days. But I really really loved the dot cards I sampled, and I'm trying to find ways to get back to painting regularly. So, after more than a year of agonizing over it, I finally got my colors. I'm still waiting for 2 more to complete this palette though. That just means I'll be extra excited again in a month haha! Thank you @des_artroom for a more than excellent shopping experience. And thanks to @janeblundellart's blog where I got my start on which colors to get. My faves so far: Green Apatite Genuine, Quinacridone Gold, Quinacridone Rose, Cerulean Blue Chromium, and Moonglow. I've been meaning to do a "What's in My Diaper Bag" illustration, so that's what I painted last night. Miraculously, Oliver slept long enough for me to finish it in one go. My hand hurt so much after! 😂 But I'm really glad I got to hold my brushes and use my watercolors again. I also tried out my @mosseryco sketchbook for the first time, and it was lovely to work on. Oops! Forgot to post this earlier because the baby woke up crying for milk! 🐮 Anyway, this is my CHRISTMAS WISHLIST for #ladiesdrawingnightPH. I most definitely went past 45 minutes on this one, but what the hey. I just went for it. Also, since it's a wishlist, I thought of things that I probably won't get (hello, house) unless there was some kind of Christmas miracle haha! Because if you wish for something, might as well make it big. Right? Everything on the list: 1. A new camera for blogging, making videos, and baby documentation - I'm eyeing the @fujifilmph X-A2 (or X-A3) because a lot of people recommended it. 2. @esteelalonde's book "Bloom" because she's my favorite YouTuber 3. A not-ugly diaper bag like the @skiphop Chelsea Downtown Chic backpack. I haven't seen it in @mothercareph though, which is the only store I know that sells Skip Hop stuff. Why are most diaper bags ugly?! Why?! 4. A trip to Europe with the husband and baby because Europe. ✈️ 5. More time for art (and projects/product development). I haven't done much work this year since I've become a full-time mom, and I miss my daily art sessions. I really do hope that 2017 will give me more time to do that again. 6. A new house because a baby with baby stuff can make a small one-bedroom condo feel really cramped. I know this sounds like such a #firstworldproblem and I should just be thankful that we have a home in the first place, and believe me I am, but it would be nice to have more space for our growing family. I love the houses by @brittanyliving in the south. We can't quite afford those yet, but I definitely want to move further south where the air feels cleaner and the pace is slower. 7.
