Tsubashi

This is my second "kage-cho" tsuba, size should be pretty similar to the shoami tsuba mounted on the "kasen koshirae" in the Hosokawa collection.

A special tsuba for a special person. The theme is Matsukawa-bishi Mon. Matsukawa is pine bark. The three diamonds represent reliability, integrity and success. The pine is a long living three, strong against elements. The engraved Kanji are a wish for the owner.

My first "kage-cho" tsuba. Size should be quite similar to the original Shoami tsuba on the "Kasen" Koshirae of the Hosokawa Museum.

Higo set. Fuchi made of copper with a dragon body etched on the outher surface. Kashira in brass, depicting the Yama no Michi (the mountain road). Both fuchi and kashira are lacquered with ki-urushi.

This tsuba is a copy of an antique, Hayashi school sukashi tsuba.

Two identical fuchi in Tensho style. Shakudo and copper with some gold touch.

Utsushi of a famous tsuba made by Kamiyoshi Rakuju. This tsuba entered the NBTHK shinsaku meitoten in 2010 and was awarded Nyuusen.
