I’ve been successfully dragged out of my art block by @claudiagray‘s LOST STARS.

Like I’m pretty sure I’ve spent the entire 11 hours the audiobook lasted crying into a pillow.

This is still super WIP right now, I haven’t decided if I want Thane and Ciena as naked bodies in space, or in Rebel and Empire uniforms. Decisions, decisions.

If you need a Star Wars fix while patiently waiting for Rogue One, I highly recommend picking it up. Or if you just want some QUALITY reading.

Latest costume I threw together in a ridiculous amount of time. I finished this dress for the last day of The Florida Renaissance Festival in under 24 hours over the course of 3 days. I had been collecting the materials for it for months, and changed designs over half a dozen times, but she’s complete!

I really wanted to create an Italian styled Renaissance gown, instead of the usual English style. I took a lot of reference from early Italian paintings, and the film Ever After had a lot of similar styles (even if its set in France). Normally I would not have gone with Purple, as it was a color reserved for the church in that time, but I had so much of it in stock, that it seemed a waste not to use it.

Everything but the pouch and snood was made by me.

I’ve had these photos for months and I realized I never posted them on here despite how amazing they turned out. I was really burnt out by the end of the year, so I decided for Holiday Matsuri to make pretty simple costumes, but they turned out to make some of my favorite photos ever.
