Take breaks when offered. 

Asher wasn’t one to hold grudges on people, but Lorelei was someone that managed to rub him in the wrong way. After their horrible break up, he didn’t want to have anything to do with her and his life was good without her in it, but the universe has it’s way of playing games with him and Lorelei was, once more, crossing his path. 

At first he was against having her around, afraid that this would mean she would do it again, but after everything that happened int he past two months, Lorelei, surprisingly proved to be a better person than he expected her to when she had been nothing but supportive when he needed her most.

So far their coexisted well together and she helped him run the kitchen without stepping too much on his boundaries. She was respecting him somehow, so so far, so good.

“You know, this place would’ve been a lot more better if you just followed through the cleaning chart.”

It was a humbling experience to be back working under her ex. Yet the position paid more than her previous salary. Lorelei never needed for much, material-wise. She lived in the same apartment she had lived in since moving to Vegas. Her furniture was still the same. Bills were paid, nothing needed to rock the boat. 

It was the sense of security and stability she had craved since she was a child. 

“There’s a method to how I do shit and instead of knocking it out one bit at a time, I knock it out one area at a time. It’s a little more sanitary that way,” she responded.

I mean that’s still a hell of a good tip, it’s nice to meet you Lorelei.

We had a worker here pass out a few months ago. It was a shit show.

I’m Lorelei Sullivan, sous-chef here. I haven’t been here long enough to really give tips except drink a shitload of water. 

You know how there’s that gag in sitcoms where people leave drinks on their car and drive away, and it’s super funny cause it goes everywhere? Yeah, I did that today…. but with my phone. 

It’s now cracked to shit, and I need a new one. RIP to my iPhone.

“Been contemplating a move back home. Big city living doesn’t seem to be suiting this country boy any longer.”

“My sole question over this is why?”
