“Your dad wasn’t arrested two weeks ago and is believed to be involved in the escape of Death Easters,” The news was weighing on Seb but he had to pretend it was for a different reason to stop people from finding out that he was actually an informant, “I have to be brought in for questioning to talk about the most evil living man I know and it could probably ruin my relationship with my sister.”

“Yeah, I’ve heard. But once again, you are your last name. You are your own person and its not your fault for being brought in and questioned, it’s a procedure. So your sister will hopefully understand.” Lorelei did know what it was like to feel the weight of what her family has done and believe in on her back, but right now, she knew it would never compare to what the other was going through.

“That’s certainly a new one. I hadn’t heard that until now.” Callum chuckled, shaking his head. “You should doubtful.” Tilting  his head, Callum looked over her face. “Don’t think we’ll win?”

“Really? Maybe I’ve been hanging around too many jerks lately then.” Lorelei joked timidly. “No, I know we’ll win. I just think confidence and believing in us will help us.”

“My last name is Nott. Do you not read the papers? If you do then you’d know why I want to be alone.”

“And my last name is Rookwood. You are not your last name. But if you wanna believe you are and take on this moment alone, go ahead, at least I tried.”

“But I want to be alone. Why won’t you let me be alone?”

“Well look at you for starters. You are clearly distressed and company helps.”

“Ravens are birds. I don’t see how stating the fact would make the term derogatory.” Callum chuckled, shaking his head as he adjusted the strap of his backpack on his arm. 

“That is true, but being technical and all, birds is also a slang term for girls around here.” Lorelei shrugged her shoulders. “Well, keep up the confidence then.”

“You make a very excellent point.”

“So what concoction have you made yourself then?”

“Unfortunately I think Slytherin has won the cup which isn’t great for my final year but we’ll win the last match, go out with a bang, you know?”

“Well, that’s definitely better than nothing, so i’ll be looking forward to watch it!”

“It’s not that great for my team unfortunately but the dancing is always fun.”

“Neither for my team either, but we both know that everyone will use any excuse to drink.”

“Perhaps not the best idea to tell a professor about the alcohol in your system, Miss Rookwood, and it may be best for you to return to the party or to your dorm. Either way I’ll have to escort you. I can’t let you go anywhere on your own, it’s the rules.”

“Come on, it’s not like I’m doing anything bad. I’m just letting loose. We both know you’ve done that when you were my age.”

“There will be a party after the next match. Gryffindor will win then I have no doubt in my mind.”

“Good, i am going to be counting on that. We need to show them who’s the best.”

“That’s exactly what I say. How can people forget that about Laurel? She’s the captain of the team for crying out loud!” Ben exclaimed as he took another few gulps of his drink, “Dance? Okay sure.”

“Exactly, family got to stick together. And by the way, Laurel did amazing.” Lorelei commented. She loved watching quidditch, it was one of the times her father and her actually got along about. The energy was exactly how she liked it. And of course, dancing was always fun after a win.

“I think that’s everyone sentiment, if we’re being honest.” Michaela laughed, taking a swig of her drink as she continued to sway to the music

“Yeah, very true. The game was very fun to watch though. Slytherin deserves it the way they played.” Lorelei explained.
