Goes by "Jun" on the mountain and terminally avoids giving out his last name to prevent anyone from recognizing who he is, the formerly-feared head skier of the world-famous Conifer Ledge Resort, Jun'ichi Uyeno (romanized Uyeno instead of Ueno due to family having been immigrated for a few generations).

Prior to coming to Peabody Resort, Jun'ichi was the head/leader/boss/etc. of the ski group at Conifer Ledge, and he was known for his aggressive lifestyle and dedication to keeping boarders off his turf. An accident on extreme terrain tore Jun'ichi's ACL and he required surgery for it, during which he came to realize he no longer wanted to be known as an asshole. He deleted all his social media accounts and changed up his appearance and went ghost for a few years until the love of the sport brought him back to the (supposedly) quiet Peabody Family Resort where he was hoping to avoid petty sports drama. He did not. But the scene is much smaller than Conifer Ledge's, so Jun'ichi puts up with it for the sake of meeting people with a common interest.

Jun is now very friendly and can come across as naive. He is pretty good at skiing, working his way back up to a comfortable level of tolerance, although he's nowhere near as good as he was pre-injury. The skiers at Peabody want desperately to recruit him even though they have no idea of his true identity as 'Conifer Ledge's Number 1' (since 'ichi' means one), but Jun continues to deny them for fear of falling back into old habits. As such he gets along great with people on both 'sides' of the war for Peabody Family Resort's turf.

Outside of winter sports stuff, Jun is a dedicated gyaruo after deciding to get into j-fashion while recovering from his injury because it's my OC and I can do what I want.

designed around my vergil verse ideas but i can tweak this as needed for other dmc writers. to mirror the vergil verse he is 19 here.

reposting the backstory i have: "vergil and dante both lived with their mother in a mansion on the outskirts of ilex forest; akin to eterna forest's chateau. i'm thinking maybe vergil was gifted a gible and dante a houndour and those were the pokemon they grew up with.

at some point their mansion was burned down, maybe by some team rocket grunts or something, idk. unfortunately their mother is killed when the mansion is burned and vergil and dante are separated just by being discovered at different times and sent to different hospitals for recovery, with vergil being sent up to blackthorn city and dante being taken to goldenrod. because there's no real way to make them be half-devil in this universe they end up being able to reconnect more frequently than their main verse counterparts though."

dante is a very strong but otherwise normal trainer doing normal trainer things. like his brother he has cleared most of the gym challenges. he is a dark-type specialist. DUH

devil may cry (the office) is located in lumiose city. it functions very much the same as it does in dmc-canon, except instead of focusing on demon-slaying, he prioritizes battling teams like rocket, aqua, magma, etc., functionally the role here is for teams to play the same role as demons in dmc where he is trying to get vengeance for what happened to his family as a kid and get more info on who was behind the mansion being burned and defeat them in battle etc..

he also does cool-type contests in lilycove and hearthome when he feels like it/has the time.

because this is 3-era dante he's more of a little shit than the dante i usually default to writing on here (who is like 1-5 era and much more suave and chill).

matilda is my take on a pokemon-inspired variant of a visual kei bangya (which is the term for people who are fans of visual kei and attend vkei lives and such). she is a hex maniac who is a megafan of the "Electric-type Kei" look, with its #1 being elesa of nimbasa city.

originally from floaroma, it traveled to nimbasa and now lives there. she can often be found hanging out in the city's amusement park or attending tournaments featuring electric type trainers--it loves to make the journey to other cities with electric-type gyms to watch them fight.

matilda is a trainer but it isn't competitive and doesn't participate in the gym challenge, although she can be extremely scary and a challenging opponent if it feels like its reputation is on the line, especially in the face of any electric-type trainers it admires!

matilda is painfully shy and very very very reserved unless you get her to start talking about electric type kei and its related bands. she's kind of my take on the "shy anime nerd who gets super OP if you bring up its special interest" trope lol

matilda's team: rotom (her partner pokemon, also serves as her rotom phone which keeps her up to date on band happenings), toxtricity (active type personality), banette, gengar.

is kind of like the 3h equivalent of a taguel but with a giant lizard or something. or something vaguely draconic...idk. i want her to still be blue and have scales and a tail ok. dont take this from me

is a golden deer during her time at the monastery (but theoretically recruitable to any house)

typically fights with a lance! if she were a playable character her canon class would probably be a mortal savant if you could use lances with them instead of swords

crestless pre-timeskip, but many people mistakenly believe they have a crest due to their battle aptitude. to keep with XIV lore's blessing of light/the echo we can call their rumored crest to be a "minor crest of hydaelyn". after the timeskip they become blessed with a "major crest of hydaelyn". again, this is meant to mirror XIV's blessing of light. i know this is not technically compliant with how crests actually work in 3h but if NG+ can have dragon signs i can have my WOL get a crest out of nowhere. lalala

medraut hails from a relatively wealthy (for the area) merchant family (just her dad, her mom is mia) from an isolated, small, but idyllic village located on the beach. money at her village is pooled together to send her to the monastery with the hopes that she will be able to network and continue to grow her father's merchant connections to help the village continue to flourish and prosper.

this bio will include details for both a generic verse for those who aren't familiar with XIV as well as her FFXIV main verse. lore details can be very malleable let's play barbies.

other verses include: FE3H, idfk what else. i'm working on it...!! i don't like most high fantasy media so it's kind of a struggle for me.

VOICE CLAIM: tbd. FACE CLAIM: (tentative as i don't really follow typical rp rules with face claims) but i generally envision her to look sort of similar to FKA twigs, especially in this shoot. HEIGHT: shorter than average BUILD: pear-shaped with well-defined shoulders, thighs, back, and arm muscles from melee training. otherwise somewhat wiry.

anyways here's some like. simple johnny info and hooks/etc.

i really like writing johnny as an engram!! i think it's fun to have him take up residency in someone's brain, with or without a canon reason for him to be there. obviously for people writing Vs and characters with cyberpunk verses where they can operate as V or cyberpunk OCs who can also 'take over' V's role in an adjacent AU, this is pretty easy, but otherwise we can just do a crossover where for some reason johnny silverhand, dead rockstar (either from your character's world or we can keep it a total crossover) is now just in your character's mind. we don't even need a brain chip excuse, the world is our oyster!!!

i prefer to write engram-johnny just cuz i think the little implications that engram-johnny and 'real'-johnny aren't the same person and have memory discrepancies and stuff that can effectively ship of theseus them from each other is rly interesting!

otherwise, having interactions, especially crossover ones, that are more or less johnny before his death at arasaka are easy to operate in, and we can just make him an asshole rockstar for crossover purposes.

this is a stand-in for red's dossier but here's some basic notes. i haven't really read much of adventures or any manga, this is games-verse oriented only.

i write red as an adult, envisioning him as he appears in USUM. he's 29-ish. pokemon timelines are very wonky and i prefer to interpret the protagonists as being a bit older, but to make things make sense with the other timelines of the games, i usually interpret the events of RGB to have happened when he was 15-16. that said, i would rather write red as an adult, not as a child, so i don't intend to write any RGB-era threads.

red is selectively mute and usually nonverbal. i typically have him communicate via typing on his rotom phone (which can also use TTS to speak out loud if needed), using a variation of sign language, etc..

by default i'll call the RGB rival "blue" because i grew up playing the usa versions of the games and the female protagonist of RGB is "leaf". i like to imagine they're all friends who went through RGB together basically, rather than it just being red and blue. obviously happy to tweak names and details for other people's portrayals.

currently their dynamic goes a little like this: red was the one mostly directly dealing with team rocket during the events of RGB while leaf was focusing on the gym challenge (not that red wasn't participating in it, but leaf and blue were the ones who wanted to be champion). red has always cared more about filling out the pokedex than completing the gym challenge.leaf defeats blue as champion at the end of RGB but then gives the job to blue to focus on other gym challenges. red defeats blue at some point after this, but opts to continue filling out his pokedex and declines the championship, so blue reigns as kanto champion for a while.

eventually blue asks leaf to take over as champion so he can take over as the viridian city gym leader, so leaf becomes champion. red still prioritizes filling out his pokedex and exploring and training his pokemon, eventually leading him to spend most of his time on mt. silver. roughly at the current point in the timeline, blue is now beginning to dabble in pokemon professor studies when he can leave viridian, training someone else to take over as gym leader so he can focus on pokemon professor studies full-time. leaf is still active champion of kanto.

red's pokemon team: pikachu, charizard, machamp, espeon, lapras, snorlax

i have been meaning to make a post about amalthea's main verse setting. first off: she is from the book-version of the last unicorn, not the movie. the movie is beautiful but the book is downright enchanting.

this verse is one where the unicorn decides to forsake her quest to save all the other unicorns from king haggard and stay as lady amalthea and live and marry lir.

her title is now technically princess, and she will become queen when haggard dies and she and lir take over managing the castle and the village at its base, but many people still prefer to refer to her as 'lady' over other titles, perhaps in a secret unconscious acknowledgment of the fact that she was once an immortal being rendered mortal for a love she does not fully understand because she was not meant to ever comprehend those feelings.

her characterization is rooted in heavy elements of dissociation and depersonalization. amalthea at her core is constantly in a state of remembering and forgetting that she was/is a unicorn: that she was/is not human and that she's forsaking her fate and damning herself by living like this.

while amalthea will be open for shipping in case i get invested in dynamics with other muses, by default she loves lir deeply and is certainly very co-dependently entwined with him--that is how most fairy tales go, isn't it?, where the princess cannot bear to leave the prince's side?

general basis/hooks/starter ideas for easy interactions: your muse is welcomed by amalthea to king haggard's castle for a stay. this is exceedingly crossover friendly because the last unicorn is at its core something of a metatext about fantasy and fairy tales and all the characters (the unicorn is not--but amalthea is) are aware on at least some level that they exist in a story.

if we run with this setting you are welcome to reference the castle as it appears in the movie for setting reference as it's basically what i envision. very dreary, very abandoned, very uninhabitable.

note 1: vash's characterization draws PURELY from the manga trigun & trigun maximum. i deeply dislike stampede (i have 0 plans to watch stargaze). if you like stampede i'm sorry but i really really hated it and i refuse to entertain it at all in my characterization; you WILL see me post hate about it because i just think it's such a disgrace to trigun. if you are following me to write with vash keep this in mind, i don't want to step on anyone's toes if they like this series.

she/her, biromantic bisexual. "the andricon girl."

vera blue is a fandomless character inspired from the 90s industrial band chemlab and, most obviously, their song vera blue and the albums east side militia & burn out at the hydrogen bar.

she is best suited for cyberpunk, technoir, and other vaguely futuristic settings and verses (cyberpunk 2077, ghost in the shell, blade runner, cowboy bebop, terminator, certain metal gear settings maybe idk, etc.).

jared louche says about his made-up word 'andricon':

"Andricon" is another in a string of words that I've made up. It's an adjective that describes the style and sexuality of Vera Blue. I think that it's important in the understanding of the word that know that Vera's a construct of three women that I knew in New York; two drug dealers and a gun runner and Andricon was a way for me to describe those strange qualities about them/her that drew me. Very nocturnal, almost pathologically so. Plastically android-gynous yet still very human underneath...somewhere beneath the welded plates and wires. Make-up around her LEDs. Hope that helps.

...so that's the big basis for the character!

vera blue is not her true name but rather is an alias. she's a sort of merc-for-hire who runs drugs, guns, johnny mnemonic-style uploading information-in-her-brain, and runs 'cowboy' detail (which means she plugs herself into computers to digitally project herself into cyberspace for hacking) on her own jobs. she's sort of a one-person-team and has cybernetically enhanced herself to be able to do anything in any job anyone may ever ask of her.

vera is mean in the way that all mercenaries sort of need a mean streak, raucous, relishes in taking risks, but also quite focused, and she cares little for her body and notions of bodily harm, and only takes real joy in working on transhuman upgrades for her body to keep making her the ultimate merc. given her body has been edited many times over and is mostly cybernetic she's immune to most drugs and poisons. vera takes so much joy in her work it's the only thing she can imagine doing and that's about the only thing she lets herself care about.

vera constantly changes her appearance many times over to continue being anonymous in merc circles and thus does not have a typical face claim as her appearance is always changing. i think she has a few favored bodies she cycles between since most of her body is purely cybernetic at this point, but i kind of want to play up the nebulous nature of her physicality and keep descriptions of her that aren't things like her cybernetic implants or her clothing choices (more on that just below) to a minimum.

i think she'd dress in something like motoko kusanagi's outfits in 95 gits (aka before they decided to make her a small fragile woman in the later adaptations god i hate u anime): very big bomber jackets that let her hide weapons over small bodysuits. little care for nudity or something resembling nudity. her body has been altered many times over and she can continue to swap around body parts at will for whatever the task requires, including multiple pairs of legs (for example maybe she has a pair of legs that have built-in jets in her calves, a second pair that looks like the bouncing boots in portal so she can jump around, etc.).

the line "she has a mercury smear in her eye" -> i am choosing to interpret this literally in that her eyes look more like mercury than 'eyes' to hide her pupils and irises. this is a protective coating. like built in goggles over your eyes or smth. and also it helps her expressions be a little harder to read.

her left arm can turn into a long knife for battles, a la the c2077 upgrade for mantis blades. her right arm is built more for her cowboy work, with cables and wires in it to let her jack in and store and exchange information. again, she can change these around depending on the job, but there isn't usually a job that won't require a weapon of some kind or some kind of hacking work to be done to complete it.

like maelle, she leaves on an expedition at age 17 (maybe expedition 38 or something?) years before her designated gommage, but in the wake of her expedition getting annihilated, is left to wander the continent with no way to return to lumiere.

ends up befriending one of those special nevrons you see that aren't completed and they form a sort of symbiotic relationship akin to a warlock situation to mirror personas in p3. sometimes she loses control of medea (which she names her nevron) and it attempts to kill her but it's fine

gets really into drawing as a way to pass the time until her gommage and just kind of. wanders. since she was 17 when she left on her expedition, she is now 22 at the time e33 takes place.

for the sake of the verse interactions can happen in lumiere before she leaves with expedition 38, during the events of e33 in which she can just randomly cross paths with the party, or sometime in between the two in which i imagine she could meet verso and all them by chance.

endgame e33 spoilers under the cut for a potential second e33 verse

the ushiromiyas live on rokkenjima, which in this universe is one of the many islands within the orange archipelago. lion is of course the successor to the rokkenjima family.

they are not a traditional pokemon trainer and just have one for companionship, an alolan raichu named pecha (for pecha berries).

in studying to become the next ushiromiya family head, lion takes frequent trips on steamships to various regions, and can typically be found in olivine, vermilion, or slateport if they aren't wandering around the archipelago given their nature as port cities. this is of course assuming they aren't heading into a meeting or conference somewhere.

grew up in turffield but moved to ecruteak with alphonse following the death of their mother.

ed spent the bulk of his childhood fascinated with and by the ruins of alph and solved one of the sliding puzzles which then resulted in him losing a leg when it triggered some of the other mechanisms in the ruins.

ed began his pokemon journey at age 12 and defeated the johto champion at age 15 but turned down the title and now just travels the world.

grew up within the aether foundation as one of a few children trained to interact with (see: was bait for) the ultra beasts. she ended up forming a (parasitic-like) connection with a nihilego in the deep sea and the two managed to escape from the aether foundation.

after escaping from alola and lusamine's purview and living on her own for a bit chidori amasses a few more pokemon for her team and then eventually links up with the other two members of strega.

the three of them often move around completing illegal activities via website request like in p3. chidori especially has a fondness for sitting on the harbor in castelia city or by nimbasa city's theme parks to sketch. it also helps that some of her favorite egl brands have stores in these cities!
