Not to be that person, but the way a certain game added the Capp and Monty families is yet another example of the way I view that game: Borrowing the prestige and ideas of games that genuinely innovated the genre to entice people with an experience that, when you play, is revealed to be shallow.
What I mean by that is this: The Sims 2 included sprawling family trees with intricate stories and generational gameplay in the base game, such as the Capps and the Montys, to showcase the innovation of playing a life simulation from birth to death, including the dynamics of multi-generational families. The (game I don't want to clutter the tags of so I am not naming it) looks at those families, discards the vast majority of the sims, both messes up and expands the lore in a mediocre way that's recycled or basic storytelling, and then uses the legacy of these characters from better games to sell the idea of dynasty and intrigue. And despite the mechanical bloat that exists in the way the game handles dynasty and family gameplay and aging and gossip and and and, it and its sims and their stories can't match the depth of the innovations the Sims 2 offered and showcased with these very same sims.
if u make and release cc for free, i just want u to know what a divine blessing u are to this community and remind u that even if the number of downloads makes u feel like ur content isn't reaching or resonating w/ anyone, there are so many of us that literally have ur random blush or septum ring in our canon folders
i saw the sims 3 post about layering presets by right clicking and it made me curious... IT WORKS FORTHE SIMS 2! i love this game, so many hidden gems
Why is this chick deriding my job when she has the exact same job?

Phoenix has reached level 5 of the magic skill. In the last few days of summer, he's made sure to spend plenty of time at the beach, too!
