Eternum

Eternum is the name of a classic fantasy world I've been writing about and developing on and off for a few years now. It was all very impulsive so my lore and such might be all over the place but I enjoy doing it. This blog is kinda just so I don't flood my main blog with stuff no one really cares about so if you're here hi hi.

The Vigilance- Intelligence society that only the well informed will know of and only the well trusted can access. Their main base is in Arithon, though they are said to have members stationed all around the continent collecting and cataloguing for their archives. Nobody really knows how they gain members or how much they know but based on the secrecy they aren't keen to share. (•)

Couriers- the couriers aren't as secret as the vigilance, most will have at least heard of them. Although most can't afford their services, they are known to be costly but for good reason. Somehow they're able to get any message, package (or person) across the continent in mere days compared to the average months. (•)

A Light called Hollow- A not so secret society of trained killers, not exactly legal but most rulers have put their services to use so prosecution is unlikely. While the service is no secret no one truly knows what goes on inside. All people know is once paid they work fast and efficiently, with no loose ends. (∆)

-^- The Sky's Severance

Once in a time before time, the day and night were one in the same. The sky a mix of dark and light, the sun shined with the stars and danced with the moon in the early days of existence. Space and all that crossed it was unified in divinity as a lost elemental, Cyfnos.

Space is the barrier between the Now and the Before. The pressure of looming infinite creation caused the beginning of the sky's collapse, cracking and splintering apart releasing some of that everything beyond the clouds.

Cyfnos first went to Knowledge to ask and beg for a solution of which he could only offer one. To hold the heavy sky the burden must be spread but no other elemental could reach the sky to hold it's weight, only Cyfnos. Even Nova was to low to hold what Cyfnos carried. So, together Conrad and Cyfnos created a plan of the only way that was known. It was to separate the primordial soul of Space and those two halves would carry it together.

With this knowledge, Cyfnos approached Time. He asked for him to tear the sky in half, allowing for two to carry the burden so that the weight would no longer be too much. Zaman was hesitant with the knowledge Cyfnos wouldn't survive. But seeing the future which had already lost him, he knew there was no choice.

He pulled Space and Sky into two, separated, night and day. The sun no longer met the stars, the moon no longer danced with rainbows and the sky no longer fell. The two halves forever only partial, new from an immortal soul, separate from it's full life.

Lux and Nox two pieces of one soul apart eternally, after the severance on the first of many nights Nox cried and when celestial tears fell on muddy shores and grew a sapling. When light rose with the first of many days it nurtured the sapling into a tree infused with divine energy.

Long before any current mortals memory, when elementals lived alongside us as the same, an mortal and immortal life entertwined. An elemental had fallen in love with a mortal, not such an unheard thing as even immortals aren't immune to the whims of love. But Adora was not like other elementals, a being of love and obsession can't simply move on from a love so great.

Cryolith- northern country, mostly tundra and taiga, small population, known for mining and fine goods, very wealthy country, ruled by the Vexilith family

Arithon- on the east coast, plains, forests and swamps, large population, known for inventing and agriculture, ruled by the Dalein family

Pyrovein- west of Arithon, large population, mostly savannah and grassland, known for mining and textiles, wealthy country, ruled by the Kealthor family

Helkiran- west of Pyrovein, medium population, mostly deserts and savannah with some grasslands, known for metalwork and strategy, ruled by oligarchy, royal family Navork

Kovirad- west coast, small population, taiga and deep forest with some plains, known for fine goods and agriculture, ruled by the Darkwoods

Eden's Forest- a small territory in the center of the country under protection of Eden, unclaimed out of respect

A mortal sheepherder proclaimed fate biased against him as wolves kept stealing his sheep. He cursed Anali for their injustice, Anali to prove that fate has no bias proposed a deal. That in a month's time if his sheep had lost more numbers than any other herd they would give him power to protect his sheep from whatever may harm them.
