Soooo... after stress testing this fix on windows UC, I can safely say it works! I have this mega Downtown hood, that would instantly pink whenever I took a sim here. I have been swapping many different lots and each time the lots have many sims spawned, and it has had no issue!

Today I am older (and yet also not, lol) and to celebrate I finally got @lordcrumps to teach me how to apply different road styles to my hood - now much easier than it used to be, thanks to new SimPE's road tools!

My beautiful BACC hood Hansen River never looked so good!

I ended up getting carried away (of course) and tweaked one of Alex's road defaults from here (the suburban lush road) and added some plain white markings ala Aussie style, I might still revisit and change out a few details though.

Love just being able to have more "rural" looking roads in the rural parts of town, and save the footpaths for more built up areas of town!

Next: maybe adding some dirt roads too 👀👀

If you know me at all, you probably know that I detest floating and I have something of an eagle eye for spotting it from any angle and from a mile away. In Evergreen, things must obey the laws of gravity. So while I adore these 4t2 modular stairs by the wonderful @lordcrumps in his For Rent pack conversion, the banisters and I were... not the best of friends.

What is holding you up there, banister? Magic? Prayer? Nah, nu-uh. Whatever mystery is afoot here, it is not allowed in my game. I shan't have my precious pixels fall to their hypothetical deaths because the banister suddenly breaks after it realized that it's a lot of weight put on a single focal point at the bottom. Am I extra as hell? Why yes, yes I am.

I thought maybe someone else out there is too, and so I figured I'd share my little edit that puts a post at the top of the stairs as well. They fit with the matching fence without flickering. While doing this I also noticed there was a fence recolor without a matching stair, so I added that recolor to the stair options. It is the lovely green you see above.

Swatch is included if you need one. The .txt files go in your Scriptorium folder, package files go in your downloads. The additional recolor is letter M.

The Sims 4 uses transparent greyscale images for its normal maps. The Sims 2 does not. It uses these blueish things.

@simnopke taught @lordcrumps how to turn a Sims 4 normal map into a Sims 2 normal map in GIMP. Crumps showed me how to do it. I didn't want to install GIMP or do all those steps, so I made a Paint.NET plug in that does it in one click.

To install it, unzip the archive file, then run the installer. If you don't want to run the installer, just drop the .dll file into your Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects folder. That's all the installer does.

You'll need to be running Paint.NET v. 5.1.11 or above. Restart Paint.NET if you had it open when you installed the plug-in. Then you'll see it under Effects > Tools.

Cheap-and-Chipped Justa Door Recolors

@lordcrumps' recolors for his Apartment Door default replacement remade as recolors for @morepopcorn's Justa Door default replacement. Which means you can use them for the Justa Door apartment doors *and* all the other doors in the collection! Many thanks to both of them!
