Kanji nodded before gently assisting her in removing the needle “So, anywhere you would like to visit? We have a garden square, a training center for the soldiers and beast hunter squads, as well as a theater, although…” he looked rather uncomfortable “It is mostly romantic films in the theater at this time.”

She rubbed the spot where the needle had been “…..garden sounds really nice”

Kanji opened up a rift as he helped George to her feet. “I should probably tell you, you don’t want to go too far from the city in my world, Beasts are attacking travelers as of late…”

“Um…I should change first” she was still in the hospital gown they always forced patients to wear. “Then we can go…and I won’t stray from your side Kanji”

Kanji nodded and turned around, giving George some privacy. “So, I should warn you, the papyrus and the Sans in my world, they see me as family, as Craicte adopted me as well. So they might tease us if they see us spending time together, I hope you do not mind.”

so I guess this shouldn’t really be News as such but is it fucking anyone else up that cars actually have, like, components and specs in this universe? like setting aside the troubling implications about how the cars reproduce, is there essentially a caste system of sorts where if you’re not a sports car you’re simply not going to be able to race no matter what. or is it the other way around where a tuk-tuk with enough determination and work ethic could hit it big and eventually save up enough money to have themselves remodeled into a compact limousine. where is car consciousness housed. is it the engine or the chassis or like, is it the Gestalt, and if the latter does that mean that if they have to have components replaced they’re technically a new person now, similar to that one philosophical conundrum about teleportation? what if you made a new car out of parts salvaged from old, broken-down cars. would it be a functional Frankenstein or would it simply not run without the mysterious spark of life that grants these noble creatures sapience. What The Fuck Is Up With Cars, you guys.

Kanji comes in with some hospital food to see George trying to escape “Why are you leaving? You need to heal.” he then sat down next to her “Is there something you are scared the doctors will find out?”

She sighed and stopped “I…just don’t like hospitals. Plus they haven’t figured out what’s wrong yet, no reason they will this time….” 

Kanji nodded slowly before setting the food at her bedside “If you want, i could come with you, as craicte so bluntly said, I have quite a vacation set up.” he then twitched a little, and again, until a soft laughter  emanated from him “heh, I honestly hate medical areas as well. They try to restore me all too often.”
