I changed from who I was,
for the better or for the worst.
I still look and talk like me,
but I'm not who I used to be.
Life is weird, and some of us may never figure out how it works, myself included. Isn’t it weird that if you grow up being weak, the one that friends with only few friends, clean, crybaby, that when you start to fight and try to things differently and show your inner strength, almost everyone around is like “What is happening to him?“ or “Hey, chill man, this isn’t like you!”. It is hard to break those walls, but once you do, you have to keep going. You should be who you want to be and not the one that everyone wants you to be.
I’m still at the beginning of my journey, I had to choose my path. You know how it’s said there are three paths: good, bad, and the golden one in the middle? I’m somewhere in the middle, but a bit tilted to the bad. Now you might see bad things differently than me, I think it stands for alcohol, smoking, swearing and all kinds of stuff. It seems that is stereotypical that everyone in my age swears, drink and smoke like it’s the new trend. I personally hate most trendy things and come back to them when they aren’t trending anymore, but life is different. For example, I noticed that everyone that I was around drink and smoke. So I started doing that too. Suddenly I had more friends and was known by more people than my whole childhood (I wasn’t very social and liked being alone, sometimes I still need to be alone. Everyone does.) I took the easy way out of the problem.
I want to be appealing for today's girls, and I was close a few times, but some still see me as the little weak child that needs his mommy. It hurts to see that you’re trying so hard to not be as you were and some still see you like that but don’t mind them. Go for it and show them what you can do.
I know that must’ve sounded like every other motivational quote from some movie about some guy that started weak and ended up strong and confident but hey, it’s true.
I had to get this out of me, thanks for reading.
