The nickname Ducky is a running joke from a DFO server, long before I even considered writing a BNHA fic.

You will notice that Izuku kinda look like a cute ducky and… absolutely not what he usually looks like. He looks like a smol child a little scared, definitely anxious, the kind you want to wrap in a blanket.

Now, notice AFO is the one talking and that this cute image is certainly from his POV.

Now, when did we notice another moment where Izuku had a ducky profile…

Oh, it’s Inko. His mother. How odd that All for One and Izuku’s mother see Izuku the same way. I am sure it’s just a coincidence.

Izuku:

So, we know All for One hates All Might’s guts but I was always intrigued by how scornful he gets every time Nana is mentioned.

Now, one could argue that he was trying to rile up All Might. It was probably the case but that seems like a lot, even to piss off our favorite Symbol of Peace. It feels personal.

I don’t post often, but can I say a big thank you to the bnha fandom on Tumblr for keeping the current controversy of the Doctors name, in chapter 259, respectful and civil. Twitter has been very messy and disrespectful to the Horikoshi, demanding an apology even though he has agreed to change the name and apologized. (Although the apology was lost in translation, it was meant to be formal apology)

Although Horikoshi made a mistake on the name, it was very clearly not born out of any ill intent and was an honest mistake. Whether he was trying to highlight the horrible event with the doctor, because of the human experimentation japan did, as a way of showing that this has happened in real life and misunderstood that Maruta was connected to victims as well as being the name of the project. Or whether he genuinely didn’t know what the name was about and it’s a connection since Maruta is a common last name in Japan and means “log” which go with the tree theme that most quirkless people have in bnha.

Twitter is still very heated at the moment and people are having very extreme reactions to this controversy, which have become very unreasonable, I would like to ask people to keep it off Tumblr. Many people are coming here to escape the controversy that is happening because they don’t want to be apart of the discussion or disagree with the overall hate, and we shouldn’t disrespect those who don’t want to be apart of what’s happening.

To those who are still angry at Horikoshi, please take a deep breath and think about what has happened, it’s Ok to be upset about what has happened but that doesn’t mean you get to be mean or disrespectful. The name has been changed and apology has been issued, if you feel that still not enough and is still upset then perhaps you should leave the fandom. No one is stopping you from leaving, and if you are, don’t destroy your merchandise just sell it away or give it to a local donation shelter (they always love books, figurines and other things). And please don’t harass others that don’t agree with your feelings on the situation.
